  • Thank you so much for this information Linda Yo. You are saving my life! Love your channel.

  • @Waterhefer : Thanks...best wishes...

  • i like how she says vegetables

  • Would Asparegus be a good substitue for the greenbeans? i dont like green beans, but i do love asparegus

  • @XxLoveSongs8xX : Yes, asparagus will be a good substitute! Enjoy...

  • does the nutrients in brown rice change if you add salt? I would really like to know.

  • @josy626 : In terms of calorie content: no, in terms of sodium: yes. However since you have added plenty of water to the rice, the sodium is diluted...not as high as...potato chips.

  • Hi Linda, I just made your dish today. I really liked it, so did my 7 year old. Thanks for sharing it. I also just ordered your book on Amazon. I can't wait to get it. Your video was very informative and simple to follow. Please post more

  • @scarlettsamber : Thank you for your feedback! I will try to post more videos :) Linda Yo

  • You do not mention portion size or how many meals per day. It looks very easy to prepare. problem is. I could eat this dish several times per day... When I make rice . I add Cambells soup. cream of chicken, mushroom . celery. Or tomato sauce. IT has to be risotto style. If I do not add a sauce, For some reason I choke on rice. I love rice. It does fill me up.but I am still very over weight.. any suggestions?

  • @canarsiemarsie : This will yield 4 servings and it's only 95 cal/servings. You can eat until you're satisfied & still lose weight. To avoid boredom, also try my other recipe. Some Cambells soup are low in calories and fat content...however cream of chicken/mushroom might be high in fat content because it's thicken w/ creme. Rice is dry & can make you choke...adding clear soup is a good idea.

  • @invisiblerain1 : Yes and no...sorry if it's confusing...technically, they are about the same 200 cal/cup but since brown rice contains more fiber that are indigestible...then it will give the body less calories than white rice. However, since rice is rich in water & I don't put any butter on it, either white rice or brown rice will make this a low calorie meal.

  • Hi!! i just tuned in!! i would love to prepare this dish!! but i have a question... is the brown rice already cooked or you just poured it without cooking it into the pan? wont it be a little bit hard if its not cooked? i have no idea about brown rice...

  • @jstar1003 : It's already cooked. To save time you can you precooked brown rice. Best wishes, Linda Yo

  • Notice the meat to vegetable ratio? There's one Asian diet tip right there!

  • How much soy is normally consumed per day in a typical Chinese home (in China)?

  • @auggiedoggy : I haven't checked the statistic but I'm guessing about the same as the consumption in my household about 1 teaspoon/day. Best, Linda Yo

  • how did i get here from watching people drink beer

  • Stuir frie grown beeve. Souy sa-ous lmao sounds funny grein bins

  • i masturbated to this, is that normal?

  • @SuckkerFree215 : hahaha...yes, the food is that good! :)

  • Great video

  • Can I subsitute ground beef with ground chicken instead?

And how many plates should I eat in one day? Thanks, please reply. :)

  • @beautyqueen255 : Sure! One plate is about 300 calories, so 3-4 plates/day is fine. Enjoy, Linda Yo

  • Oh my god this is great! Can i use quinoa in place of the rice, and spinach & peas in place of the green beans? thank you for this!:)

  • @xSkinnyzNowx : Yes, quinoa, spinach & peas is also rich in good carb and fiber.

  • Very nice. Thank you. :)

  • Hi Linda, how many plates can I get out of this recipe? What's the total amount of calories of this recipe. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi, you can get 4 bowls, each contains 95 calories & 2 grams of fat, so total calories for 4 servings are 95 x 4 = 380 calories.

    Enjoy :) Linda Yo

  • this is means that: i can just loose weight and fat when i eating just vegatables and more times at day??cool...

i gonna try out your recipe thank you

  • This recipe is filling because it's high in fiber and resistant starch, yet it's low in calories and fat content. Thus it wil help you to lose weight without starving yourself.

    You're welcome :) Linda Yo

  • Thank you Ms. Yo for your demonstration and recipe. I tried this at home with my own twist: ground sirloin, frozen stir fry vegetables (mushroom, pea pods, edamame, baby corn, water chestnuts), green beans, pre-cut creole seasoning and cooked shrimp. I also added soy sauce, sesame oil and tony chacere. Simply delicious. Now when I come home from work I don't have to worry about what to eat or stopping at fast food places. Made plenty for a few days. Thank you!!!!!!

  • You are welcome :) Thank you for sharing your own twist to the recipe!

  • Asian, first I want to say Im sorry for Yellows horrid comments! Why do some people lose their minds when their online? That said, I love you videos!

  • can you put up some more recipes plz. by the way..what gives chiness fried rice a distinct flavor? (One you get from chiness resturant)

  • There are many different kind of fried rice but the most common ingredients are garlic, ginger and soy sauce.

  • subscribed

  • maybe you need to be more nicer you know

  • just ignore the terrible comments. I think your recipes are wonderful! btw do you use any oil when cooking that brown rice recipe? And where can you buy brown rice?

  • I am open to input, good or bad and

I appreciate your nice words :) To cook brown rice just add 2 parts of water to 1 part of brown rice. No oil needed. You can find brown rice in your regular supermarket at the Asian food section or at health food stores.

  • YelloSupremacist...you are a fuckin asshole! YING YANG ASS BITCH!

  • this is fake, im asian and i eat asian food and it got me fat.....asians food is just as bad as white people food......if you want to lose weight then you should try african food (LOL) because they dont have no food.

  • According to a large study conducted by Cornell University where they compared the least active group of Chinese people and the average American, they discovered that the Chinese ate 30% more calories but they weigh 20% less than average American. Why? Because our foods are high in fiber, resistant starch and low in saturated fat. For more info, please read the China Study and Asian Slim Secrets. These books are based on scientific research.

  • Linda...i dun take beef...can i take minced chicken as alternative?thank u for ur wonderful recipes...

  • Mitra: That's even better, if you replace it with ground chicken, 1 serving contains 264 calories, 1 g saturated fat & 3 g unsaturated fat.

  • thank u linda...

  • Thanks I love your videos!

I have started working out and now I am

trying to eat better! Can you tell how to cook the brown rice , I tried it came out bad!

  • Brown rice:

Put 1 cup of brown rice with 2 cups of water in a pot. Cook on high heat, uncovered, until the water boils. Stir gently. Cover tightly with the lid. Cook on medium-low heat for 40 minutes.

    Best, Linda

  • Linda you are great! I want to be the skinny bitch too! (lol)
