A7X did kick him out. MP thought he was gonna play with'em through 2011, but they didn't wanna do it because they felt MP limited them. They thought (which is true) that A7X wasn't really a band, with MP as their drummer; people saw it as A7X with Mike Portnoy (like Slash ft. Myles Kennedy), and they weren't cool with that. They also wanted to get a permanent drummer. He got kicked out. with DT it was another thing. He wanted to rest, so DT would comeback bigger, but the rest wanted to record
