  • I think if McCain was gunning for the female demographic leaning towards Hillary Clinton, there were probably better options than Palin. (Condi Rice, while associated with Bush's regime, was probably the least-hated of the bunch, and came across as fairly intelligent.)

  • Does anyone eat Quayle burgers nowadays?

  • All post election polls show that Sara Palin greatly benifited the McCain campaign. McCain himself was a poor pick for the republicans, he is the most liberal senetor since Arlen Spector. Nobody was going to beat Obama at this time in our country, not even Hillary. Nobody cared about his past, his experience or his vision for America. These talking heads were completely wrong

  • Yes.....

  • i think the plan is for the reps not to win & thus they are trying to lose & folks are still too slow not to vote for their sideshow. lol

    The fix is in

  • Mann and Orstein are BOTH Palin's DICKLESS and BALL-LESS BITCH and PUSSY! Palin PWNS this two! Palin has a BIGGER, BETTER and MORE COMPLETE PACKAGE than these two DUMBASS IDIOTS.

  • It shows how McCain is gambling on the high number uf simple minded (=dumb) voters who will be able to relate with Gov Palin. Kinda offending...

  • I agree....too right too dangerous.

  • McCain is SENILE!! and a FOOL to PICKed Palin.

She is an idiot, white trash and a Nazi!!

  • too right!

  • She'd be great as president when a bankrupt America goes down the tubes - might as well have a few laughs as it all goes to crap. Then we can blame it all on her- stupid woman, its all her fault.

  • Well, she has similar opinions about Muslims, but when was she Assistant Secretary of the Navy in preparation for a major war?

"The world would have halted had it not been for the Teutonic conquests in alien lands; but the victories of Moslem over Christian have always proved a curse in the end. Nothing but sheer evil has come from the victories of Turk and Tartar." - Teddy Roosevelt

  • nah palin is a joke she can't answer questions with a straight answer or has no clue what the question is. She is fit to be vice

  • Coming from the hypocrites who attack Obama's experience? Please...she is a complete and total imbecile, she makes Bush look like a genius by comparison.

  • John Mccaine was very irresponsible to pick her as vp. It shows not only bad decision making, but it shows he cares more about getting elected than he cares about the welfare of the country.

  • es muy claro que la desicion de poner a sarah palin como vp no es de mcain.

pero el no tiene otra alternativa.

  • If you want four-eight more years of BUsh type politics then vote for them. Where have you been the last eight yrs. CHange is the word Obama has been using his whole campaign and now the republicans have stolen it but can't live up to it. McCain and Palin would be disaster for this country. A woman who says the Iraq war is God's war is extremely dangerous. Jesus and Guns do not mix. Who would Jesus Bomb or shoot? How can one be pro-life and pro war??

  • We don't need to denigrate her. We need to hold McCain responsible. He had great choices Whitman, Rice or Hutchison.

  • There is no question in my mind that Palin was a cynical pick - but, it is also not fair to denigrate her. She is a political pick, not a policy or "VP as potential President pick". I like her, but it is till Obama all the way for me (if I had a vote--but I am Canadian, I don't).

She likely has a bright future on the national stage, if that is what she chooses (assuming she and McCain lose).

  • I honest to god could not disagree with you more. Sarah Palin is a gimmick to win an election. I think you must have at least considered that.

  • Not Qualified? What person in the world is qualified to be president of the US? None of us. The ability to make decisions, select good people and place them in decision making roles and manage the process. That is what is needed. Either you have it or you don't. Neither democrats have ever had command/CEO/leadership roles. So what makes them qualified? If you run a business on your own, you'll know what I'm referring to.

  • I have to disagree. Picking her pandered only to the base of the Republican Party; I'm surprised that McCain, whom I considered more of a moderate, would pick someone that is not so. How does that serve all Americans? Furthermore, in my opinion, shes clearly the most unqualified VP pick I've seen in my last twenty plus years of voting.

  • Obama= foolio Bideb=dumlio lol! obama is an "egg shell" no yoke.

  • I wish I could see things your way, but I can't seem to get my head that far up my own ass.

  • Obama wants to lower your taxes AND pay for your healthcare. If you make less than $250,000 a year, voting for McCain/Palin is a vote against your own interests and well-being. Think about this when you enter the voting booth.

  • What the heck are you talking about? Gee, since 2 days worth of spending fighting the war in Iraq is enough to pay for every uninsured American's healthcare, I very much doubt people will be thinking your way when then enter the voting booth. Get your priorities straight. Do you even know what the poverty line is, today ? And how many people in this country live below it, and how many live above it? And how many people don't have health insurance and would trade the this war 4 a healthplan?

  • ''if you cant run your own house...how you going to run the white house?''

  • palin=stupid

    mccain=stupid

    if elected=welcome to hell

  • Palin is the AntiChrist. Wakeup America!

  • LOL Let me spice it up a little for you....

    Palin=Moronic Idiot/Far out space psycho

    Mc Cain=Dimentianally Clueless

    If Elected=Welcome to Hotel Inferno

  • McCain's gamble puts our country at risk with this bitch. He has put his ambiton first rather than country he is a traitor.

  • he was think with his little head..not his big one.

  • They're wrong about one thing. Dan Quayle was a horrible veep, a real dumbass.

  • palin is a bad pick because I beleve she cannot run the white house she need to keep watch on her little girl because she did not do well with her 17 year old daughter how would she find the time to care for the county.she will always be away she will also be under alot of stress.

  • Libs arew wetting their pants over the choice of a real women for veep. She's more of a "man" than Obama is.

  • Great, a tranny for veep..

  • Interesting perspectives here. Palin was a fantastic choice! Great poker move! I would haved done much worse than have an ex-brother in law fired if he abused one of my family members! Losing his job was getting off easy!

  • Maybe she is right for Washington, then, because she seems ok with abusing her power.

  • she is probably the last person on earth that believes global warming is not man made.

  • you're a sad person.

  • so?

  • I guess then, that McCain was lucky.

  • haaahahaha, this guy thinks dan quayle was a better VP choice than palin! heehee. he's right - quayle wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he wasn't a psychotic weirdo like sarah palin who wants to f*ck up the alaskan wilderness and take away women's reproductive rights. and she's never even left the country except to go to canada! how can she be 2nd in line to lead us? yikes... she's so scary.

  • Yeah, and George W. Bush is the best president ever.

  • How can you think she was an excellent pick when she doesnt have that much experienced and she is being investigate in Alaska for the abusing her power.

  • I still can't get over the whole "firings" scandals, she abuses her position and power for personal vendettas. Like that relative's Ex-Husband, or those 2 officials that didn't support her re-election campaign.

  • After McCain's wrong choice for VP, its a given that obama-biden ticket will win. I just can't trust an impulsive leader. McCain will be more dangerous than Bush.

  • It would be interesting to know how much of a margin they will give Mccain in his win.

Not like Obama would be any better. Neither have a plan.

  • I suggest you go to the Obama web site. There you will find something called "The Blueprint for Change: Obama's PLAN for America."

Then you can go to the McCain web site and click on the "Issues" button, where you will find -- guess what -- a PLAN.

    When you're 100% wrong, you're 100% wrong.

Blind cynicism isn't helpful. Participate or don't. But don't complain about fiction.

  • These two are conservatives. Just because someone disagrees with the McCain, doesn't mean he's a liberal.

  • No they're not, they're both notorious liberal authors. There's no balance at all, who cares what liberals think of Palin, they're not voting for her anyways... social conservatives are!

  • If you work with David Frum and work at the American Enterprise Institute for all intensive purposes you're a conservative. If this guy is not conservative ENOUGH for you, then that's another story.

  • haha! i hope mccain will die in office! lol

  • I don't care for the man myself but I won't wish death on him. Thats just wrong!

  • I remember hearing one Clinton supporter and advocate for women voters say that the Democratic Party could not realistically represent all of the interests of its constituents. Could this not be the case of the Republican Party as well?

  • Tell me how you would please over 100,000,000 people, on thousands of issues, at the same time? and don't say, "by blowing them" there's not enough time.

  • perhaps some kind of machine could be built that could blow thousands of people at a time. ;)

  • Those would be the conventions themselves. :)

  • I wouldn't know about "by blowing them." I believe in cooperative grass roots and collectives in the neighborhood I live in. I do believe that a commander and chief should not take a nation into war on lies, spy on Americans, suspend constitutional rights such as freedom the press and trial by jury. So I am saying that the President should uphold and defend the Constitution, not use it when it advances corporations interest. Is that the answer you are looking for.

  • Yes, people vote for the top of the ticket, but McCain is 72 and has had cancer like 3 times. He should've known better.

What does this say about how he would pick a secretary of state, or defense secretary?

  • Oh wow! What an insightful comment! Gees you must be a conservative!

  • I don't think his choice was a gamble. It was simply a bad decision. She would make a terrible VP. But then, the GOP know how to run a campaign. Perhaps she is a red herring of sorts. The discussion now is all about her and not about relevant issues.

  • Good interview, but not enough cartoons.

  • Glad You Guys Coverd It Thanks
