It took my dog 2 days to become house trained to an acceptable level.
Now at the age of (almost) 8 years old, when he wants to go out for a pee, he'll walk over to you, look with that unmistakable expression, and walk over to the backdoor.
This owner thinks their dogs are just "toys" that you can just put down and leave at will.

IF you knew anything Ceasars method of training is pack leader trainging and he usually works with dangerous and vicious dogs whereas Victoria method is positive reinforcment and works with untrained dogs. Both of their methods are right on.
Tip for anyone who has making problems! My bitch (Jack Russell) kept marking in one area on my carpet. I used ACE gentle bleach on the carpet and she has never done it again. Bear in mind she was fully trained. It was about marking not lack of training.

And guess what, pain is a PART OF LIFE. Get over it. Sometimes a little pain is REQUIRED in order to avoid much greater amounts of pain in the future. For example, my dogs were trained on an electric fence by being shocked at its edges the day it was installed. This GUARANTEES that they will not encounter MUCH greater pain every day by getting hit by a car, or starving when they get lost. But no, you want to focus on little stupid things. Grow up.

In almost every episode, the dog is obedient, relaxed after Victoria has told the owners what they need to do to change. If she wasn't doing it right then it obviously wouldn't work, and it does work. Almost all dog trainers agree - there's no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner.

In one episode they both thought the bulldog was aggressive 1) it was clearly not 2) instead of introducing it to other dogs and getting it socialized she made the owner use a treat and say "look at me look at me" until the other dog passes. that doesnt fix anything at all. what if she doesn't have treats? and by the end of the episode the method was clearly wearing off.

Victoria uses treats to make whatever the dog doesn't like into a positive experience. She literally changes the way dogs think about certain things or situations. It's as easy as that. Cesar yanks or jabs the dogs witch often creates a negative experience

Many trainers have found that training the way Cesar does makes for very unstable dogs. They dont get 'cured', they get subdued. Many of those dogs are still put in shelters because they eventually bite someone. Don't assume things because of a fancy tv show that only shows what they want you to see. Do your research.
Victoria's amazing! I've seen her work with all kinds of dog issues, from housetraining problems to aggression. She gives all kinds of great advice too! :)

Many trainers have found that training the way Cesar does makes for very unstable dogs. They dont get 'cured', they get subdued. Many of those dogs are still put in shelters because they eventually bite someone. Don't assume things because of a fancy tv show that only shows what they want you to see. Do your research.

Hes ok but I like how on its me or the dog it shows the dog progressing. On his show he says what to do and he comes back and there better.

It's probably because he/she is in a new situation. Establish a routine with your dog and take him/her out regularly. That should help.

shes shockingly confident and knows nearly everything bout dogs!
she has to do just a noise or hand movement and its a perfect dog! i would like to think how well trained victorias dogs are!!

kristyjordanrox - They did do a good job! I love Jodie's nose, I used to have a habit of pushing my nose up to try and make it like Jodie's. Her nose is the best nose I've ever seen! I'm not mad, you all are!
