  • I would loved to have been the tea boy that day ! & rolling 1 or 2 fat ones !

    What a bash !!!

    RIP Rick x

  • 1:09 those two notes of the piano are just great :)

  • Someone once asked me, "What effects are Pink Floyd using?"

I said, "are they using effects?"

"I thought it was my own brain doing that shit."

Then we laughed, and sparked up another.

  • Nope. Can't relive the past.

This is what they're trying to do.

    Pink Floyd is gone.

    Let it go.

  • Yeah, who needs Nick Mason anyway? =))

    Great music!

  • In musician's terms this is called "meshing" I believe.

  • sounds more like a jam between echoes and darkside

  • this is kind of like if SOYCD and Echoes had a song together

  • You look at Mr Wright, and you think, he looks in his prime, but then the next day he is gone...

  • Es mágico me encanta esta banda!! son los mejores!!

  • as Wright as rain :-)

  • is there any instrument that guy cant rip?

  • Excelent

  • These barn jams are off the David Gilmour "Live in Gdansk" album (disc 4)

  • How is it that no matter what instrument Gilmour is playing, he still manages to create his own unique and distinct sound?? The man is amazing...

  • Who is that woman at 1:49?

  • @andrewpogor The photographer is Polly Sampson, Gilmour's wife. I can only assume that the other woman is Anna Wloch, the other tour photographer. She's the only woman credited besides Polly Sampson in the Live in Gdansk liner notes.

  • holy amazing fucking tones batman. everyone of them has godly tone on those instruments.

  • WTF have i just seen!!!!! DG on drums, Guy on his Gretsch, drummer on upright bass.... or was i dreaming!!!1 awesome!!!

  • wooowww at 1:57 Rick stars to sound excactlly like in echoes , that unique sound of piano , i love it!!!!!!!! A Great Rick in the Sky

  • David Gilmour = Magic Music

  • this video is so fucking badass

  • Good lard! that David is a complete band by himself, althrough Rick and the other guys are needed to complete that sound!

  • I want to play in a band just like that... if possible with the same talent :-))

  • @F3FisGoodforYou not possible. for anyone. 'cept them.

  • wow ! I'm so happy that I found these videos of the barn jams!!! perfect !!

  • thats the way the pink floyd drums are supposed to sound!

  • except for rick, every1 seamed to have switched instruments. cool. dave on drums surprized me the most but then these some of the greatest people in music so ofcourse they can play anything in front of them. only true musiciians can speak their mind through any tool of music. whats next, dave on bagpipes? i've seen phil collins do it so who knows?

  • Yet another reason why David Gilmour and Pink Floyd are at the very top of my favorite artist list. As other posters have commented, the bands today don't have this kind of sound, and probably never will. This music will stand the test of time. We'll be watching this video in 2040. Rick truly lives on.

  • Some people could use several lives. RIP Rick

  • Hahaaaaaaaa!!!

  • love the Neve and La-2A compressors at 2:25 and the AMS reverb and delays

  • 1:05-1:09

Steve to Guy: "How am I doing?"

Guy to Steve: "Not bad, son."

  • didnt david say once somewhere that he hand a cordination problem with his hands which is why he would sometimes play realy fast and then slow. explains why he was being cautious on the drums still i cant fault him for trying he has alot of guts

  • snap away polly

  • I know right, she must have hundreds of albums by now.

  • lol agreed lol

  • ok call me crazy ... but for some reason every instrument DG playes it is the one to stand out for me.. like i understand the talent that the other musitions have... friggin brilliant... but like the drums just stand out... lol

  • That is because Gilmour is Jesus Christ!!!! Look at the way he looked in the 1970's, tell me he's not Jesus.....lol =)

  • ew fail a dork like you doesnt even deserve to listen to pf ne more lol

  • Guy Pratt!

  • could sit and listen to this song allday, pf and dg songs just jamming are amazin

  • Unfortunately you are retarded

  • Ragazzi quest'uomo è il più grande chitarrista di sempre, suona meravigliosamente bene la batteria, è un grande anche al basso (vedi animals) e se la cava anche al pianoforte (vedi about face). Io lo voglio Santo!

  • I have several Strats and a great Gretsch.. nice to see them here..I thought I was the only one using them in stuff like this.... great Jam.. Miss ya RICK!!!.

  • can you imagine sitting in on this? where's the barn?

  • I believe the barn is somewhere on his property

  • Now I know why he call his chats Barn Jams. He playes the drums really good.

  • This is musical Magic. I could listen to them all day.

  • rare O_O

  • Comment removed

  • this is priceless.. David looks like a little kid when he's playing the drums.

  • IT'S A NEW PINK FLOYD SONG

  • loving the gretsch!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wish i had those LA2A'a and AMX's

  • These glimour Barn jam sessions are just AMAZING!!!

  • it sounds so spacy

  • is it just me or is the way that guy's guitar playing around 1:15 to about 1:30 sounds kinda like Gilmour's 'Animals' guitar sound.

  • He's using D.G's Yamaha rotating speaker which was used in the Floyd recording

  • Richard, we're all missing you.

  • David which instrument you cant play?

  • Nothing XD

  • Good question! :) To my surprise he also plays saxophone really well. Those saxophone tracks on his new album were done by himself.

  • 1.30 has a great bit on Steve DiStanislao's face, asking and looking at Guy for advice on bass. He seems like a good man, apart from being an excellent drummer. Kudos to Stevie D!

  • 1:55-2:47 is pure gold. This simple jam is MILES ahead of the crap these days. I only wish I had the chance to see them live. I love the way Polly incorporated the pictures. Makes me sad when I see Rick, RIP friend...

  • 1:55-2:47 is actually from classic pink floyd TIME

  • @skateracl Do you mean Breathe? Doesnt feel like Time to me..

  • Yeah its breath, my bad. I get those two confused because the version of Time i have includes the Breathe reprise thing at the end which is what they are playing here.

  • ¿Did you mean breathe?

(Or breathe reprise, at the end of time)

Breathe and the jam are totally different, they only have in common the chords

  • Guy Pratt isn't bad on guitar. Gretsch + UniVibe + Delay sounds cool. They all seem to be very versatile musicians.
