@andrewpogor The photographer is Polly Sampson, Gilmour's wife. I can only assume that the other woman is Anna Wloch, the other tour photographer. She's the only woman credited besides Polly Sampson in the Live in Gdansk liner notes.
except for rick, every1 seamed to have switched instruments. cool. dave on drums surprized me the most but then these some of the greatest people in music so ofcourse they can play anything in front of them. only true musiciians can speak their mind through any tool of music. whats next, dave on bagpipes? i've seen phil collins do it so who knows?
Yet another reason why David Gilmour and Pink Floyd are at the very top of my favorite artist list. As other posters have commented, the bands today don't have this kind of sound, and probably never will. This music will stand the test of time. We'll be watching this video in 2040. Rick truly lives on.
didnt david say once somewhere that he hand a cordination problem with his hands which is why he would sometimes play realy fast and then slow. explains why he was being cautious on the drums still i cant fault him for trying he has alot of guts
ok call me crazy ... but for some reason every instrument DG playes it is the one to stand out for me.. like i understand the talent that the other musitions have... friggin brilliant... but like the drums just stand out... lol
Ragazzi quest'uomo è il più grande chitarrista di sempre, suona meravigliosamente bene la batteria, è un grande anche al basso (vedi animals) e se la cava anche al pianoforte (vedi about face). Io lo voglio Santo!
I have several Strats and a great Gretsch.. nice to see them here..I thought I was the only one using them in stuff like this.... great Jam.. Miss ya RICK!!!.
1.30 has a great bit on Steve DiStanislao's face, asking and looking at Guy for advice on bass. He seems like a good man, apart from being an excellent drummer. Kudos to Stevie D!
1:55-2:47 is pure gold. This simple jam is MILES ahead of the crap these days. I only wish I had the chance to see them live. I love the way Polly incorporated the pictures. Makes me sad when I see Rick, RIP friend...
Yeah its breath, my bad. I get those two confused because the version of Time i have includes the Breathe reprise thing at the end which is what they are playing here.
I would loved to have been the tea boy that day ! & rolling 1 or 2 fat ones !
What a bash !!!
RIP Rick x

Someone once asked me, "What effects are Pink Floyd using?"
I said, "are they using effects?"
"I thought it was my own brain doing that shit."
Then we laughed, and sparked up another.

Nope. Can't relive the past.
This is what they're trying to do.
Pink Floyd is gone.
Let it go.

Yeah, who needs Nick Mason anyway? =))

How is it that no matter what instrument Gilmour is playing, he still manages to create his own unique and distinct sound?? The man is amazing...

is it just me or is the way that guy's guitar playing around 1:15 to about 1:30 sounds kinda like Gilmour's 'Animals' guitar sound.

He's using D.G's Yamaha rotating speaker which was used in the Floyd recording

(Or breathe reprise, at the end of time)
Breathe and the jam are totally different, they only have in common the chords

Guy Pratt isn't bad on guitar. Gretsch + UniVibe + Delay sounds cool. They all seem to be very versatile musicians.
