  • I want my chest pressed to your chest...

  • Amanda Palmer's music completed my life

  • ..but that could take forever, I think I'll wait another year.

  • this might be the most powerful song i have ever heard. i have sat here for 5 minutes trying to decide how to describe it...but what use is it really....i'll just say ....mmm wow i haven't been this short of words since i was 4

  • I'd give a finger to know what was in the last envelope.

  • @HilliyGadam

    I guess a needle?

  • You know when something is special and here it is.......

  • This song sums it up for me. I love Amanda for doing this.

  • You know I stumbled on to Amanda Palmer through listening to Regina Spektor who is also amazing but Amanda does something with me that Regina can't do and I don't exactly know what it is...I mean I'm super obsessed with Regina but Amanda I just don't even know

  • You know...I have had this CD for...Well as soon as I could get my grubby paws on it, and I do not know how this missed me, and then turned into my anthem.

My facebook page has turned into an Amanda Palmer shrine kind of thing...and all my friends think I am insane.

But since most of my friends are insane, I guess I finally get to fit in. Even my partner who can't spell an artists name without it starting with Metalica has grown to appreciate this.

  • two years and I almost forgot about this. I came back after writing something that I realized reminded me of this song. I still relate to her words, amazingly. Love you, Amanda.

  • I always think of people putting off something that scares them when I hear this. I thought at first, that it was about telling a guy how you feel. and with the bruises? maybe a fight with him?

  • I regret the fact that this song was only good enough for credits :(

  • Damn, that's a lot of stamps. I hope those packages made it safely and swiftly to their destinations.

  • My new years eve tradition (started last year) is to listen to this song on repeat every new year's eve until midnight. It's 1pm. I've started quite early this year...

    ....-clicks repeat-

  • so who did kill amanda palmer?

  • @TheStMartine We all did.

  • she's amazing.

  • I just turned 26 a few days ago

    Thanks for making this :D

  • @Iceknight212 i think her voice takes some getting used to. i used to hate it too...

  • This is morbid I know, but I was reading this book "Steppenwolf," and the guy in it says he feels better knowing he'll die at 50 because he's marked that year as the year to kill himself. So listening to this song, I think about that, and how people think maybe in one more year it will get better. And if not, then...

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 that's the way I see the song as well, and I'm re-reading steppenwolf right now. "you said you'd help me disappear, but that could take forever". not actively wanting to die, but not caring if you do. it's more of a "well, if i have to live for another year, i'll do it as if it was the last one. if it is, i don't care. if it isn't, well, i might live until 83"

  • kinda looks like she's got a bit of a black eye there.....wha happen???

  • @calebzia She did say she and her family, they tend to bruise easily, and after forty minutes of beating herself up over transgressions she's both suffered and committed, one could expect a bit of wear to show.

Besides, people that live without dead time, they'll occasionally get in a drunken brawl the night before a video shoot, or find themselves in an Alliance-friendly bar, like they quite coincidentally do on every Unification Day...

  • It's such a creative way to show the credits... usually they are the most boring part of the "movie" and everyone ignores them, but she has even turned them into art.

  • any girls can sing me songs like this??

  • I thought the colons were unnecessary. Should've just had the names in bold.

  • The instrumentals in this song are so beautiful!

  • Beautiful.

  • This has to be one of my all time favorite Amanda Palmer songs. It has so much meaning to it.

  • I just discovered this song! It's beautiful! I love you Amanda!

  • I wonder whom she sent the "gifts" to.

  • I was hoping it was me, but nothing ever arrived.

  • :) !

  • Anyone else dislike biting tape to cut it into sections? It always hurts my lips...

  • "Anyone else dislike biting tape to cut it into sections? It always hurts my lips..." -Congratulations, you won this years random conversation on youtube award. :-)

  • You will be awarded one Internet.

  • This song reminds me so much of myself right now and how we struggle and just wait another year.

  • you shouldn't struggle to wait, time flies by too fast

  • I hope your right...Its been going so slow for me.

  • everything will pick up again soon. it always does :] dont worry

  • If my life were a song...

  • The piano motif in this song makes me want to cry it's so sad T_T

And this whole song makes me angry at the things I regret and my own cowardice, always waiting another year...

  • to who and why is she sending all the stuff??

  • I suppose they're all just memories, memories which need to be rid of and forgotten...

    *shrugs*

  • yeah, if you watch the whole series they are all items from the different videos..i think :S

this just made me burst into tears, like really bad :0

i feel much better now :)

    so lovely

  • this is one of her best songs

  • what the fuck did she stick in the last envelope?

  • i've never seen these, i just went through the whole series, it's now 5:23 am. Happy Birthday, belated. You continue to inspire.

  • The slightly de-tuned piano either makes or spoils this song... i can't decide.

  • makes

  • I've never even thought about that, but it's so true. People don't realize that she's the most brilliant human being of this time, but they will one day.

And just knowing we're alive while she is, that's a fantastic thought.

  • Her and Dr.Steel are both tied for most brilliant human of this time.

  • I completely agree.

  • amanda u r great

    from russia with luv

  • Amanda, you have my heart right now <3

  • @jjlieb and it's stuck in my throat....

  • i did get shivers down my spine

    i reaaaly did

  • Beautiful.

I have yet to find another music artist that creates music that I can relate to as much as I do with Amanda's.

  • look up Jason Webley. He's a friend of Ms. Palmer, and he's very, very good.

  • @XnightmarealiceX I agree. Most of the songs I call "my song" were written by her. She's fantastic.

  • Yay.

  • this made me actually cry! ;O.

it's amazing what amanda has done.

im from the UK. and i just think your work is amazing!. conquer the UK! ;D x

  • definitely my favorite song from the album. absolutely epic.

  • Shes just amazing!

don't matter what ppl says.. and this song in particular really touches me!

    Go Amanda! :D

  • Redeemed.

  • nice

  • beautiful video...but I'm sad 'cause it's the last one of WKAP :-(

  • Amanda, I love you more than words can describe, and your music/videos/self make me unbelievably happy.
