@loydsheryl It's very sad indeed. Although I am not American, I'm a twenty-four year-old Canadian woman, and I don't know very many people around my age or younger who would even know who Andre Rieu is.

@GoldenFlither15 Ah, yes, you're right. Actually, Andre Rieu is not exactly the pinnacle of classical music. But this piece is Shostakovich--a very serious, well-regarded 20th century composer--and it blows me away that these people know this piece well enough to sing along. I'm four decades older than you are, but it's nice to be able to commiserate on this one. Thanks.

I'm 21 Loydsheryl. But I know this piece when i was like 10-12 years old. Because this music was used in much cartoons series like Tom and Jerry or others in the Netherlands. Many of the children and young adults here know this piece. Also because every parent or grandparents likes andre.
