  • Do you have a TrueAlert horn/strobe?

  • Yeah, but it died on me for some reason...

  • Can you figure out why?

  • no, but I've since gotten a new one that DOES work...

  • This is a remote strobe. I know there's a grille on the signal, but the grille has no sound output holes in it, and again, it's because this is a remote strobe. When they scrapped the QuickAlert series (which is what this strobe is a part of), they got rid of the fake grille. The QuickAlert series was a non-addressable series when the TrueAlert series was new. Afterwards, everything just became addressable or non-addressable TrueAlert.

  • @weatherdan882002 Yes, I got a 4904-9168 with one of those trickster grills and I thought it was a horn/strobe. I still have the frame but the strobe is and in gone now. What is a QuickAlert? I think the QuickAlert frame I had the wrong strobe. I think they took it down from my dad's work because it tricked the testers into thinking it was a broken horn. :)

  • @msj191961 A QuickAlert is a non-addressable smartsync TrueAlert. The name was only used for a year before it was dropped.
