what and how can i get Android Market on Archos 10g2 without this errors ? Please make a video

Thanks, hate that this doesn't support Android Market by default. Don't suppose anyone knows if it's possible to run Honeycomb on gen8 Archos tablets do they (I have the Archos 101 gen8)?

@GaryRoweFTW Honeycomb, is very unlikely on Gen8, they'd be too short on memory (256 Mb). Archos made a product refresh for the 70 IT, with 512 Mb and it's now running Honeycomb. It's supposed to be updated to Android 4.0 in the coming weeks. But Archos hasn't announced any plans for the older Gen8 devices, looks like they'll be stuck in Android 2.2 Froyo. Maybe something will come from independent developers (OpenAOS or others)

@antriana81 Its partly money questions, Google only gave Market access to certified devices, which Arnova's are not, they don't meet some hardware requirements (GPS, magnetometer...)

No risks to break the tablet, if you encounter any problem, you can always reset the device.

@jamescatlas You probably have an Archos 70 eReader, not an Internet Tablet. The eReader is currently not supported in Arctools.

@MrWollocks Try to restart the tablet. If it doesn't help, make sure you have latest firmware, and Reset Android (again) in the settings.

open appsLib then click the link on the arctools download page, then look for "appsLib fails download error" scroll down and the apk file is there to download.

@BargainHunter2k Again, this should be not problem, there are thousand of users that used it and it worked, see some comments here. And if anything wrong may happen, you can always reset the device so it is restored as default factory setup.

@BargainHunter2k You should have no problem provided you buy a model where ArcTools does work, that is Archos Internet Tablet, 28,32,35,43,70 or 101 models. Just follow the tutorial, it is really a piece of cake. If you have problems, you can always come and ask on Arctablet forum.

@LeonNikkidude Sure, you can use any Google account you have or create a new one, it does not need to be linked with an account used on a cellphone.

Don't forget to "Reset Android" from the device settings prior to installing ArcTools.

Just got the archos 70 for my daughters xmas pressie. Was ready to send it back as having all sorts of issues with the "advisory softare". Did this procedure and hey presto everything works. The Archos 70 is a fab bit of kit once reconfigured. Thanx for this video, much appreciated :O)

@senia333 ArcTools works on Archos Gen8 devices and on some other devices with a specific custom firmware. It won't run on your Archos 7 HT. If you need the Android Market on it, have on a look at Arctablet blog for a custom firmware.

@arctablet it was so fricking easy to upgrade the android version, just drag one file, ejact the device, and click ok, LOL on "normal" phones you have to root, go to recovery, wipe, choose the file and only then you upgrade the rom/version... Thank you vary much!!!

i can't reset my Archos 7 Home tablet. Basically on settings there is no "Repair and Formatting" although there is a button on the back were you can reset it but it doesnt work :|

@blanksean You can! Dowload it from this site: bit(dot)ly/hET1jC You need At least Eclair (Android 2.1) to do this. Otherwise your tablet will die and get stuck on the reboot.
