  • what does 4ac mean!!!!!

  • b = -3 dumbie at 2:26

  • fuck diss am droping out of schooll

  • So easy.

  • Very Helpful :)

  • I'm watching this because I can't learn shit in class maybe I'm "slow" or something I just don't know everyone else can learns it Fkn fast

  • i was lost in the first 30 seconds...

  • Thumps if you got lost from @0:00 to @3:23

  • i thought -4 +1 gives you -3, isnt pose to be positive 4 - 1 to give you positive 3

  • nope still don't get it

  • A = ASS B= BITCH C = C***

  • GEEK ALERTS

  • @donkeydude192837465 well we're dummies together.

  • no er what kind of solution u use, factoring, quadratic answers should have same answer

  • is this normal?? i'm in the eighth grade and we study quadratic equations....

  • @sk8tergurl143amber do you have Algrebra 1 honors? if so then yeah.

  • showed up my class because of this:p

  • its +1 and -4.....she got it wrong...still good vid

  • ok thanks for the vid.

  • why does it have to be dummie

  • um the first problem is wrong

  • thank you now ill get an A on my test.

  • JUST GOT IT WOOOOOOOOO ahem sorry but are we ever going to really use this in real life? I mean come ON haha.

  • thankkkkk you ssoooo much for this video helped me sooo much,,,thanks!

  • Thank you soooo much for uploading this, I was sick with the flu and out of A1 class for two days! Now I'm Ll caught up! Thank you vey much :D

  • +1 and -4 you dumb bitch 2:10

  • @MrElmoussa i saw that too and got confused for a second

  • @MrElmoussa She means the values of X if you use the factor method instead of the formula.

  • @MrElmoussa +4 and -1 actually idiot

  • @iliketoeatspaghetti his way worked also... and so does yours so calm down

  • @MrElmoussa it's a voice actress

  • @MrElmoussa It says +1 and -4.

  • D: i get it.. but i have like this whole page of this stuff to do.. and ITS SO LONG.. im fucking screwed

  • Math For Dummies, Made by Dummies!

  • the solution at 2:15 is wrong. (x-4)(x+1) multiplies to give a -3x as the middle term not the +3x you started with! when you work out the answer using the quadratic equation you get x = -4 and x = 1, this is correct! when putting them back into brackets you have to swap sides. so x = -4 becomes x + 4 = 0 and x = 1 becomes x - 1 = 0. hence the (x+4)(x-1) which is the correct answer.

  • @modiplop I don't understand the breakdown of part 4 from part 3? is there any way you could break it down for me and show me?

  • @PopularStyle Hi there.

The solution at 2:15-> (x-4)(x+1) is wrong. if you multiply the brackets out you will find that you do not get x(2)+3x-4 -> the correct solution should be (x+4)(x-1)

The solution to the very last problem (3:23) -> where x = -4, 1 is totally correct.

so the correct solution is x= -4, 1

which if you put it into brackets is (x+4)(x-1)

notice that the signs change when put back into brackets.

    hope this helps

  • Love it

  • this really helped me, maybe because i had already had some barrings on how to solve quadratic trinomials. I saw a few comments on how it was confusing, and that was probably due to her warning of common errors. It may have been a better choice to save them till later possibly? (just giving some feedback)

  • she makes it sound so freaking hard, when it's really simple

  • holy shit i was sweating she was explaining it

    fuck im screwed

  • oh.. i get it... the quadratic formula is just a more difficult way of solving these type of equations if that so, why the hell people use it??

  • lol, it is suppose to be easier because you just plug in the numbers.

  • @robertlewisvazquez

yeah but id have to memorize it...

  • @mixolidianmode it would be easier to use the formula if you can't see how to quickly factorise the equation, mainly because the equation doesn't have integer or real solutions. Like x^2 + x + 1 = 0 - factorising that without the formula would be a total sod.

  • @mixolidianmode if the equation cant be solved using factoring.

  • I've completely forgotten this until now. The number of times I've used the quadratic formula since high school has been exactly zero.

  • D:

    ACK.

Why must my teacher never explain things the way they need to explained so I won't have to look on youtube and get more confused?!

  • this helps alot! I'm trying to remember formulas for my college algebra
