I also got this achievement after playing for a few hours. The game just continued to give me double reds, and eventually a diamond to detonate.

Just got this achievement. It seemed like after a while, the blocks just started to be the correct colors for me. For a while it seemed like I'd stop getting the color I needed after I had built to 12-14 power gems.

Lol! I got by random chance a green that took 3/4 of the screen, must have been bigger than a 25 and gave my flatmate way over 99, its just luck!

Tho we dont play it now as the music gives me headaches after so long, plus the japanese "jokes" etc get irritating etc =/

99 is the highest one can go. I've only had that once or twice.

I've seen it a lot. They can actually set it up to 99, block, and still have 99 on the counter.

I got this achievement after about an hour or playing the first time. All the sudden every block that came down was double blue so it was a piece of cake!

I tried to get this all night, when I realized that he isn't even in normal mode. When he breaks the gem the achievement doesn't pop up, this crap didnt even count. The method may work but the computer doesn't even fight back.

I had already gotten the achievement before, thats why nothing popped up.

True. I used the same strategy to do this achievement. A 5 x 5 gem. But I personally think the 7 Chains Combo is harder to get. It took me around 30 - 45 minutes to unlock the achievement...

i managed to do this achievement much easier in the end making a 7x4 block. Means you have to do 28 in the end instead of 25 but it was much easier. i also found it easier using X instead of X'. Very difficult achievement I'm impressed you managed the 5x5 way I was stuck doing it for hours!

Yeah, it's REAL easy to do when Player 2 doesn't drop junk blocks on you. Too bad you can only get the achievement against the CPU.

I built mine about two rows off the bottom and had to save it from being blocked multiple times. I almost woke the baby with my victory fist pump afterwards.

thanks because of this i was able to get the achievement now all i need is the 7 chain combo one and some luck with drops for it.
