@manager7680 Most Truck drivers are white rednecks who hate foreigner. They would see you as the enemy and give you a hard time. And you would have trouble finding a company that would hire you. Just drive in your own country.

its possible to do 140 hours of training in 15 days, but each day has to be at least 12 hours

I wouldn't want to share the road with anyone driving a big rig with only 15 days of training. But wait...the people are really nice. Guess that makes up for it. Geez.

@raginh8r My school was 18 weeks, 20 hours a week. Then the company I am with requires driving with a trainer for 60k combined miles.

15 days? holy... up North, schools are 30, at least...some go on for 5 mos! what b.s. does this school cut out to trim it down?

yes u do it is $5400 and and u can get your cdl in 15 days or if it takes u longer thers no more cost to you and thes guys are great ther not going to rush job u they want you to be a safe driver not a dead driver .I should have my cdl's in a week or less hope this helps

5400 is expensive I just got my CDL-A in NV and I paid 1500.

@alexfo7o, mine cost me $1200 through Swift back in 2002 and I got mine through Desert Truck Driving School in northern NV. Still have my CDL to this day. That is how much it should really cost yet some schools will just try and milk trainees for all that their worth. My CDL training back then included free room and board. Pretty sweet deal and one made it as long as they showed up to class everyday. 100% attendance is important.

@budking127 it is a 120 hour commercial driving program at last check and normally length of time is 3 weeks unless the school operates 24/7. Assuming you fail one of your tests it can easily exceed the 15 day timeframe.

I am 61 y.o. Iraq & Afghanistan veteran do I still qualify for the training?
