thats no victorian knot in any case. i would recognize that knot a mile away and its called the half windsor. The only difference between it and the double winsor is that the double takes one more loop before pulling it through the "funnel"

In FM notation this is Li Ro Ci Lo Ri Co T, which is a standard half-Windsor knot. It's unclear why a purported fashion expert wouldn't know this, and would use a different name, thought that may be a language issue.

Furthermore, I know of no evidence suggesting that the half-Windsor is in any way Victorian. Even when ties resembling the modern tie arose in the 1880s and 90s, they were, to the best of my knowledge, universally tied as four-in-hands, and were even named four-in-hand ties.

well, I actually wear a tie and/ or bowtie every day so that's good thinking on your part. Now, lets think about this for a second. The four hand knot is the simplest and ugliest knot to tie... A VERY beginners knot which means if you want to be a professional you probably want to tie something different such as the one in this video.

this one differs by inserting the tie into the loop between the tie and your neck TWICE in total (once after the first time you take your tie from right to left, and the second time after the second time you take your tie from right to left (where the other video does it for the first time)

The difference between the "Victoria" know and a half-Windsor is in the Victoria, you loop around twice. This makes a tighter, stronger knot, but tall people can't do it as often without really long ties. It takes almost as much tie as a full Windsor.
