were singing this in chior just now, its our seniors last show on thursday, and ima miss them so much we are losing 5 of our biggest voices, were gonna suffer for it! This is the same way we are singing it, with a few more harmonies. This is the best version ive been able to find online so well done x
my chior is doing this song, and its our show on thrusday, and its the seniors last year. I am gutted, our 2 strongest boys, 2 strong sopranos and the strongest alto are leaving. Ima miss them so much, were gonna majorly suffer with out them! x
the concert choir at my skool sang this song. I like it!! Seniors r now gone and this was one of their final songs :( Its finally hitting me that theyre gone but OMG The Prayer,,,,theres the song we straight up CRIED for! :'(
Granger Middle School 7th grade chorus is about to sing this tomorrow! very excited. this choir sounds very nice. i hope we can sound as nice as this! i love this song. (:
My choir is doing this song at our upcoming concert. only where the 2 soloists are we are having all the seniors sing. since we picked it as our graduation song. its a REALLY good song. when we first picked it out everyone had tears welling up in their eyes :]
Actually, I've found that it sounds very nice as a choir. One by one, it starts with soprano singing the melody then the Alto is added then the tenor then the bass, so we are singing in four parts. The music is very beautiful..
Very well done. The slow version which you selected is based on an arrangement by Eva Cassidy and sounds to my ears as the Emerson choral arrangement. This is not an easy piece to sing accurately and this choir should be very please with their results. I've watched it several times. Congratulations -Scott P - Moderator Eva Cassidy Discussion Group
I did this with a group 3 yrs older than me for two assembly sort of things and we didn't have soloists, but it sounded so beautiful!! I'd love to do it again as they're leaving school soon!
if your choir was in new zealand id pay for you to sing at my wedding :) well done - and as for the comment made about vowels.. you have to take accents into consideration (i think they are awesome)
This was his first year singing and it was his first solo ever. I just ask that people be nice is all, I do appreciate you taking your time to watch the video though.
This is the EXACT same arrangement my choir did at my high school graduation almost 7 years ago, except we didn't have the solos. Beautiful!!
