i cried watching this. the trailer speaks for itself but the movie contains soo much more meaning than what it is supposed to. i love this movie, the story line acting, the sense of family and love, it all creates such a wonderful story, it like a dream, since this happening is virtually impossible, such an amazing movie. 10 stars! i recomend it to anyone

I hated nearly every minute of it; its impossible for me personally to find humor in such a worthless useless drunk of a parent. Other than that, it had some terrific acting and some humorous merit (the football).
So if you don't have parent issues, you might enjoy it; but even aside from that, overall it wasn't a great movie.

@gemzgale Remember that the point of the entire movie is not to know for whom he voted for, it's rather to teach and remind America of the essential and important aspect of being a participant to the political changes that occur to your country. That is why the guy at first didn't care to vote and didn't think that it would make a difference until the situation was dramatized and made into a satire in order to prove him how wrong he was.
I don't like the fact that despite this being a bipartisan bashing film, there are these little moments there where you just see how the liberal who wrote this portrays the republicans as slightly more disgusting than the democrats. It's especially funny when in the beginning the republican campaign manager uses a tactic that was actually used in the 08 elections... by supporters of OBAMA. It wasn't bad aryans, but black panthers.

I just finished watching this movie. i was more than presently surprised. You don't have to be a heavy follower of politics to appreciate this movie, but if you are, it just adds to the satire of the film, all the more.. This is a beautiful movie. The little girl AND Costner do a superior job with their roles. I can't really say I've found anything to gripe about, with the film. It's just a good movie. I would recommend it to anyone.

Well, wouldn't you rather live in a country that has taken away the guns so you don't need to defend yourself from someone with a gun? I know, that's a huge job, but if you go to England you see that it's a much more relaxed society. I don't know how their police handle a criminal with a gun, since they don't carry them, but maybe they have a swat team that comes out for that. Anyway, I will never carry a gun, so I'd feel safer if others didn't either. Just something to think about.

Swords take years of practice to use properly, a child can kill with a gun by accident. Most people would not bother to build zip guns, and if they were used, the police could find them. @gemzgale Remember that the point of the entire movie is not to know for whom he voted for, it's rather to teach and remind America of the essential and important aspect of being a participant to the political changes that occur to your country. That is why the guy at first didn't care to vote and didn't think that it would make a difference until the situation was dramatized and made into a satire in order to prove him how wrong he was.

I don't like the fact that despite this being a bipartisan bashing film, there are these little moments there where you just see how the liberal who wrote this portrays the republicans as slightly more disgusting than the democrats. It's especially funny when in the beginning the republican campaign manager uses a tactic that was actually used in the 08 elections... by supporters of OBAMA. It wasn't bad aryans, but black panthers.
Okay movie, could have been better.

Maybe you should give me thumbs up or down based on whether what I'm saying is TRUE. The movie was either biased or not. But the answer to that question is not based on whether one commenter on youtube (like me) prefers republicans to democrats or vice versa.
The republican campaign manager in the movie was a scumbag with no ideals while the dem campaign manager was a sweet man who throws his ideals for the first time out of desperation. the stuff about the panthers is true.

Costner is trying to recapture the glory of his career he had in the late 80's early 90's. I did enjoy this, though. Good ensembled cast.

I just finished watching this movie. i was more than presently surprised. You don't have to be a heavy follower of politics to appreciate this movie, but if you are, it just adds to the satire of the film, all the more.. This is a beautiful movie. The little girl AND Costner do a superior job with their roles. I can't really say I've found anything to gripe about, with the film. It's just a good movie. I would recommend it to anyone.

This movie makes it look like your vote is so important and it should be but as long as we have D&R parties we really have no choice b/c it seems the two are the same. I want sweeping changes IRS War on drugs Financial aid to any other nation GONE. I want to be able to carry a gun everywhere I go just like the police I have had all the background checks not a drunk or criminal. I deserve the right to self defense just like them. How can you defend if you are unarmed. Until then we are not free.

Well, wouldn't you rather live in a country that has taken away the guns so you don't need to defend yourself from someone with a gun? I know, that's a huge job, but if you go to England you see that it's a much more relaxed society. I don't know how their police handle a criminal with a gun, since they don't carry them, but maybe they have a swat team that comes out for that. Anyway, I will never carry a gun, so I'd feel safer if others didn't either. Just something to think about.

I agree we need to help those in poverty. As for the samurai sword, I can much more easily tackle that idiot than the guy with the gun. Swords take years of practice to use properly, a child can kill with a gun by accident. Most people would not bother to build zip guns, and if they were used, the police could find them. Two people in my little hometown were shot in the past week. If they had guns to protect themselves, then we probably would have had four people shot.

The police find what they are told to find. I use to live in LACa I had more guns pulled on me there than my whole life in La/Tx/Ms. Those 3 states are liberal with gun laws as a result people expect you to have the chance at being armed and they think 2x b4 violence. Nazi germany's power would have been dissolved had there been weapons in the towns they invaded. When they reached Russia the people had armes and just the citizenry gave the nazi hell slowed them down to have the winter kill them.

Well you come from a much different environment than me. I understand that if all the scum have guns, then you want guns too. What if we get serious about it and flood the urban areas with cops until they've all but wiped out all the criminals with guns? I think that would be better than feeling the need to live your life as a soldier. It's only an idealistic viewpoint until someone gets serious enough to make it reality. It's definitely possible.

First of all, there shouldn't be a war on drugs. If we legalize marijuana that eliminates 90% of the drug violence. Secondly, not all cops are bad. You're generalizing, talking about cops as if they're all the same. So no, I'm not a cop, but I was asked to be. The government has been much more unlawful than the cops. I'd like us to have a Parliament like Canada instead of a two party system, but, all in good time I guess.

We need to legalize all drugs continue testing on those that need to be. Remove the profit in drug dealing have the addicts get their stuff from a pharmacists not a pusher. I agree with the drug legalization. I can't turn in my guns though, never owned one. My personal opinion is owning a gun makes me less of a man (unlike most men thinking they're more macho because of their guns). Some people say it bluntly, "Guns are for pussies." That's not me, but I am trained to fight with hand weapons and I even like bow and arrow, but I figure if I'm far enough away that I have to use a gun then I can easily run from the situation too. That's my choice.

I have worked with a lot of truckers, and I didn't say a bad thing about them so don't imply that I did. I have been in tornados too, but I didn't get hurt. I'm sorry that you did. Still, there are non-lethal alternatives to guns that are much safer for our society.

My family made it through the great depression b/c of their ability to hunt and kill animals they did this with guns not electric shocking devices they made through with a large family perfectly healthy to go to war to kill the mass murders that had such an easy job b/c their subjects were unarmed. Our military dropped one-shot weapons to the resistance in those nations so they could pop a german and steal his gun. We have always had guns if we have to move into the wild we will remain FREE.
