  • ure such a cool mom i reallly want to try this recipe sometime. i love ure videos tammy. :)

  • TACO PIE!

  • xD dash of max farts loool

  • hi, I was wondering what can I use to replace the crescent rolls?, we dont have that in my country, can I use like pizza dough? or whatever it calls, thank you for the recipe btw =D

  • @Jonh93Tv PIzza dough would be fine for this

  • Ketchup chips, milk bags, great health care, Max farts... You Canadians have all the good stuff! LOL!

My husband and I have made this dish a few times, and love it. Baking the crust first was a great suggestion. Ours turns out nice and firm every time. (That's what she said.)

The hubs re-named this dish "nacho pie", which is very fitting. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Hey! when i do the taco seasoning mix,i just pour the seasoning in a cup with the amount of water you need or want, and i mix it. instead of adding them seperately. It makes getting everything incorporated easy!

  • Looks reaaaaaaaaaally deeeeeelicious!

    And Max was so adorable.

  • I made this yesterday, it was VERY good. I baked it for 10 minutes, pulled it out and then put the filling in.. everyone loved it. (:

  • @xEternalSlumberx Happy you enjoyed it!

  • @yoyomax12 All your recipes look so yummy lol I want to try them all at least once. :D I'm working on it. Next weekend I'm going to try the Cheddar bay biscuits with whatever else I end up cooking.

  • and i also hate to open the crescent rolls , because when i least expect it it pops open and it scares the fudge outta me!!!!!! lol

  • you look soo pretty in the beginning!!!!!!

  • @bigdreamsandbighopes Thanks! :)

  • I have to open the cresent rolls for my mom because she is scared too :| I think it's fun :D

  • @kawaii32698 lol!

  • @yoyomax12 :D

  • So if I were to bake the crust without anything in it for 10 mins like you mentioned, would I still bake it again with the toppings in it for 20-25 mins or should I make it another 10-15 mins since it's already been baked once?

  • @SolitaryGrayWolf Yes to the last question

  • Wow! looks yummy! awesome! can you be my Mom for only 1 week? haha cause i want to eat everyday delicious food! haha! :D

  • @jcg888888 Thanks for watching

  • Did you just fart in my taco pie?

  • @icenine457 oops, sorry :)

  • i dont eat meat so i might try it with some veggie ground beef because i love tocos and such. thanks fo sharing!

  • @breakingnc I think the veggie ground beef should be fine with this

  • I really hate opening those roll packs..lol But the stuff inside is good!

  • @kareemtiheed you and me both!

  • Your'e very pretty.:3

  • @kittystar4 How very kind to say so! thanks

  • @ankeliviaeneas Great tip! thanks!

  • do you think you can use pie crust instead of crescent rolls???

  • @debba1976 Yes!

  • where's the tomatoes

  • @tinajune24 Did you watch the video to the end? I put them on top of the pie, you can put them in the recipe if you like.

  • I don't think that was sound effects. I was thinking and I thought that it was a conversation.

  • you dont have to add the sour cream?

  • @shanachun1 You could leave it out if you want to

  • so how did the candle go? :)

  • @caliichicks101 Candles went very well!

  • @MACwishin2 Max did make the candles after all, they pretty much look like the heart crayons things I made but with a candle wick in the center.

  • @xSistersForeverx Thanks! I was hoping people wouldn't just say "disgusting!" and unsub! lol

  • This look delicious. I am making this for dinner tonight to use up some meat sauce that I had made for pasta - i didn't use any seasoning in it , so with added taco powder this should be great! Thanks for posting this! ox

  • @ukeelady This sounds like great idea, the taco powder added to it will be perfect.

  • Looks delicious. Love the sound effects!!

  • @barbiixhatesxpink lol, thanks.!

  • hahahhahha fart!

  • @threefaith always get a laugh with a toot!

  • how old is max???

  • @thejaydenandkenzshow Max is 11

  • the conversation with you and Max reminded me of the kitchen conversations we have at our house! so funny!

  • @Cherrys4life123 I would have normally edited all that out, but left in in for fun. Thanks for stopping by!

  • looks like another great dinner idea we will be trying this one soon

  • @misty420luvsfrogs Thanks, it is tasty and fast to make

  • Nice one, Max. LOL

This looks like fun, and even something like a "piled high" taco pizza (of sorts). I tend to forget that Pillsbury rolls exist, but they *can* be useful. I'm putting them on the grocery list, and I'll give this a whirl soon.

  • @anmoose I am a sucker for those grocery aisle cookbooks (the ones at the checkouts) and I bought a pillsbury cookbook, hence the crescent rolls recipes, lol!

  • You and Max are so cute together. Did you ever make his candle? The taco pie looked good. Hugs to you both!

  • @imperceptibleme We did make the candles! They were really cute. :)

  • I just made this but I used my Pampered Chef bar pan cause I needed somethig bigger. It was awesome, great recipe, kids and their friends loved it! I never thought of using the flaky biscuits instead, next time I will try that. The crescent rolls do have a sweet taste, but in the end,...yummy!!

  • @honeybell33 Googling pampered chef bar pan..... be right back.

Oooooh very cool, they are stone ware? are they very heavy? I guess not any heavier than the glass ones I use I guess.

  • hahahah lmao at 3:18!

    but the pie looks yummy

  • @Meisjeee33 thanks!

  • hello

I made this & used flaky biscuits .I just pulled each biscuit apart, laid they side by side & presses em together. they cooked all the way through. made two 9" pans with this recipe. l It was great.

This was a dish I will do again. TY Tammy

  • @tweetnes I'm going to try the flaky biscuits next time, I think a thicker crust would be nice.

  • Does anyone feel regret after subscribing to her in the middle of the night when you're too scared to go to the kitchen to grab something to eat and you are starving? Cause i was online this time and this pops up on my home. HUNGRY! (nice vid and no offence)

  • @omgitsjihah lol! I should put a disclaimer/warning on the video against middle of the night watching on these! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  • i have found that an easier way to open those cans is to hit the edge of the can against your kitchen counter.

  • @ifeelfantasticfan55 Thanks! I will try that, it probably takes some of the surprise "pop" out of it!

  • This looks so good, but i think i would've taken the sour cream at the end.

Excuse my bad English, i'm comming from Norway! :)

  • @billkaulitzerfin You are right, there was plenty of sour cream inside of it, it didn't need it on top as well. I did this for the photo on one piece, but ate it without.

  • i always wondered what you looked like cause all i see in food , haha ! everything you make looks super duper good :D

  • @makeup823 I used to make a lot a vlogs on this channel and forget that there are people that don't know what I look like, lol!

  • I just hit on the rolls side of the counter to open =)

Looks good. I wonder if biscuits will work

That is how do the taco envelope. Gets all the spices out.

Always nice to have a little help =)

i think I can do this one. Looks good.

  • @tweetnes I never thought of using the water in the envelope thing before, I'll be doing it again!

    Thanks Irene

  • Boys.... Ha ha ha ha ha What would we do without them? he he I know life wouldn't be nearly as fun if it weren't for my boys. :) I uploaded my Lemon Bars recipe and Christian was in there talking to me while I was making them so I had to add in a part at the end of him talking after he "sampled" one. This looks so good Tammy!! I've got to make this. We love anything that has to do with Tacos!! he he

    Emily

  • @TheCountryCook I will be checking out your Lemon bars recipe soon, My hubby loves them!

It is fun to add a bit of "real life" in your videos sometimes. :)

  • Looks tasty!!

  • @TheVittleVlog Thanks!

  • I am going to try this tonight...looks really simple and good.

  • @TheJababy69 did you try it? Was it good? :)

  • @yoyomax12 I did try it...it was better the second day.

  • is crescent rolls like a savory pie pastry pre packed?

  • @chrissymoda It is like croissant dough in a tube. Not quite as dense as pie pastry at bit flakier.

  • I really like this taco pie, haven't seen multi grain crescent rolls yet in my local supermarket. I will try it with salsa too.

  • @ArgentineShamrock You can't really taste the difference between regular and multigrain in the crescent rolls, I suppose they "may" be healthier. :)

  • Nice, yummy :) Hi Max

  • @ABQdoubleG Hey Gigi!

  • that looks amazing!

  • @littleacorn00 Thanks!

  • i have recently subscribed to you.. so that is how you look like ! :D

  • @yannymeiho I used to do a lot of vlogs once upon a time, I forget that my recent subscribers have no idea what I look like, lol.

  • Looks awesome!!!

  • @mando71P Thanks!

  • I was thinking the same bake the crust first,,looks good,I will try this. The fart is priceless! lol

  • @ginaven1 Baking it first a bit would have made it a little less gooey in the bottom

  • Yummy Tammy

    1. Taco chips $1.00

    2. Ground beef $2.00

    3. Extra gas - priceless

    hehe

  • @hanna72861 lol!!!

  • served with the tomato and lettuce looks great! I will have to make this one for my bunch!...thanks!

  • @DawndeeDALLAS It is very good with the addition of the fresh lettuce and tomato, very much like a taco that way

  • Delicious every time!

  • @Supportahol Thanks dear Markie

  • Ñiam, como me gustaria comer en tu casa *0*

  • @MarittzaVampire Gracias por tu amable comentario!

  • Hello,

I think your videos are amazing and i think alot of your subscribers would love to see you make a taco ring. I would make a video and post it but i think your way better than mine would be. If you were to you tube taco ring there are several people who do it but i think yours would be sooooo much better if you did a video on it. but its just a suggestion you dont have to. i just thought i would ask you quick about it. thanks- renee

  • @nay1134 hmmmm taco ring... I will have to do some research on this! Thanks for the suggestion.

  • What a coincidence, farts in a mexican recipe video! How fitting!

  • @SwansonSlave this is far from being anywhere near Mexican cuisine and this comment is extremely offensive and ignorant. Please take the time to reflect upon the stereotype you are reinforcing by making this statement. Thanks

  • @cacafuerte1 Please tell me you're joking? I don't want to start drama on Yoyomax's channel BUT my comment was in no was offensive and ignorant! Mexican FOOD i.e. TACO's are known to give people gas. I didn't say anything about Mexico or Mexican people. You need to lighten up and stop looking for drama.

  • @SwansonSlave I am not notified of comments that appear in my videos that are comments on other people's comments (if that makes sense) so I was unaware that this tiny drama unfolded in one of my recipe videos.

    :)

  • @SwansonSlave I am not notified of comments that appear in my videos that are comments on other people's comments (if that makes sense) so I was unaware that this tiny drama unfolded in one of my recipe videos.

    :)

  • @cacafuerte1

Please take the time to get a sense of humor...geesh!

  • @cacafuerte1 I really don't think that offence was meant in the comment, but I do see your point of view and how this could be offensive depending on your point of view. I will leave both comments up for others to see.

  • @SwansonSlave haha soooo funny <.<

  • it seems delicious but ummm this is kind of ironic ...as i said before im from mexico and i don't know were i can get that taco seasoning here in mexico because the tacos we eat here are totally diferent from the ones they eat in other countries and because of thet we don't use the seasonig but i gess it must taste delicious ...XD any way this was a random fact about tacos but wen i get that taco seasonig i will try your recipe ^-^

  • @Nao064 I would never suggest that this recipe is anywhere near authentic Mexican food. I think real Mexican food would be a lot better! If you are actually interested in what the North American equivalent to taco seasoning is, you can google it and get a recipe online that will give you a pretty close approximation to the stuff in the envelopes here.

  • @yoyomax12 i think i will do that because i really really want to try your recipe ^-^ ... all your recipes seem soooooo delicious ^-^

  • Tammy! Guess what's for dinner tonight! Thanks!!

Hope all is well with you and yours..good for Max..let it rip..lolol

    Have a great day!!!

  • @shadow6326 Max's sound effects almost ended up on the "cutting room floor", glad I left it in.

  • yay for no dislikes !

  • @kamsolsafarees I have been shutting off the ratings on my videos lately because the thumbs down thing irks me because it is anonymous, I prefer a comment from someone. :)

  • That pie looks delicious. I love that Max is a crafty one like his momma : )

  • @capergirl1976 Max has his crafty moments, but they are far and few between! (not that I haven't tried though, lol)

  • thus looks soo good my next recipe next time I can get oout and get the ingredients. Love your poppy didh is that from a set?

  • @soonfully I had to re-watch the video to see what you meant, lol. I have several mismatched small plates that my hubby has bought for me from second hand stores that I use to display and take photos of my food for my videos (instead of always the same plate in each video) It is the only one like it that I have, it is an old plate and says "Swinnerton's Stratfordshire England" "Montrose" on the back. I just checked ebay and a plate like it is on sale there for $6.99!

  • On my last vid, Jason gave me a recipe for taco seasoning. I've seen recipes elsewhere as well. I think I am going to start making my own vs. buying them anymore. To open those rolls, I tap it on the side of the counter and POOF they open. It scares me as well! Yep, 2 cups of cheese is generally 16 oz. according to my shredded cheese packages.

That looks nice. You can doctor it up just like a taco with salsa and lettuce and tomatoes. mmmm

Oh dang, there you go. Exactly like I would have.Yep!

  • @silverscreamgrl I have been making my own taco seasoning recipe and I made this recipe tonight, Beth! OMG SO GOOD! Well, I haven't cut into it yet, but boy, oh, boy, it looks great... I was shocked at how well those crescent rolls fit together.........brilliant!

  • @angielooo You can make a similar recipe but in a ring shape with the crescent rolls, I thin, will be making this sometime in the future.

  • @silverscreamgrl I have made my own taco seasoning in the past when I didn't have any in the house and it is good!

I will be doing the counter edge tap on the crescent rolls next time, I hate the surprise pop, just like I hated those jack in the box toys when I was a kid, you know the "pop" is coming and then you cringe, lol.

  • Looks delicious :)

  • @pjspassions Thanks!

  • This looks great Tammy! LOL Max is a trip! HUGS to you all xoxoxoxo

  • @WackaDoodleFreeZone Never a dull moment with Max around, that's for sure, thanks Peggy!

  • Its been years since Ive seen a metal pie pan, cool!

This recipe makes me think of Frito Chili Pie at Sonic:-)

Oh Max, he is such a boy.

It does look good, I was thinking salsa would be the perfect topper for it.

  • @1DRock37167 I have many glass baking dishes, but no glass pie plates for some reason, this aluminum one belonged to my grandmother, then my Mom. It has hundred of cut marks on the bottom of it and still cleans up nice and shiny. :)

  • Is that a cross stitch on the wall in the background? It's nice. Just smack the crescent rolls. Smack it! See... my problem would be that I don't know what crushed means. I would have pounded the corn chips into a powder. Some of your bits were big and I would have fussed over that. The final thing looks good, Tammy.... like a taco pizza - a THICK taco pizza. Hi to Max. - roc

  • @popparoc46 There are a couple of cross stitch pieces in my kitchen a bigger one on the wall near the kitchen table and a cross stitch clock on the wall near the stove. From my cross stitching days, pre-Max.

  • You're killing me with these recipes, lol. I think I'm going to make this tonight....if I can find a pie dish, lol

  • @LittleMissStamper Any small dish will do (like a 8x8 cake pan)

  • Just an FYI, 8 oz of shredded cheese is 2 cups...

  • @angielooo I used a full 2 cups and I think that a cup or maybe a little more would have sufficed.... Thanks again for the recipe and I still can't believe I had all the fixin's for it!

    yay!

  • wow, I'm so trying this!

  • You sold me on easy...LOL

  • @kareemtiheed lol! Great.

  • Oh I hate popping those rolls too! lol That's a beautiful looking pie! Max picked a winner!

  • @wildheart5 It was funny when I mentioned I wanted to make one, he googled it, printed it out and brought it to me!

  • Multigrain ftw. Max was so funny; just didn't think anything of it. :) I like his idea of making the candle; did he do it?

  • @thizizliz He did make his candles with the crayon hearts. They turned out well, crayons actually burn pretty well as candles

  • All right Max!!!!!! ;-) I love it!!! I like this new version of you just doing it with no voice over. I have to make this it looks easy and deliciousthanks for this Tammy.

  • @Elvis66 I have received both kind of comments, some saying they like the voice overs and others saying they prefer the more "natural" ones. I will be doing both!

  • that's a first: being gassy BEFORE eating mexican food ;)

  • @decafeine lol!

  • Love taco pie. LOL you guys that was cute.

  • @angelgirl2001 Thanks Jennifer!

  • @yoyomax12 Your welcome Tammy.

  • u answered my question!Just as I was saying..u answered because I saw you touch the bottom dough.Cheese has alot of oils..also the meat soo...it probably made the dough not cook right.Cooking the dough is a great idea..everything else is cooked so it will only take a few mins for the cheese to melt!

  • @MiZzRiVeRa86 Yep, you guess correctly, I was poking the dough because it was a bit soggy. Pre-baking it would have make the difference I think.

  • ohhh my goodness!I absolutely looveee tacos!A taco PIe thats genius!!

  • I just love taco stuff.....almost anything like this I would try! I'm sure it was great...

even with the Max farts....how funny was that?! LOL

    mike

  • @macaronipop Thanks Mike!

  • Nice fart! LOL!

  • @AmberFaithChloe It's a poor arse that never rejoices.

  • @wildheart5 This comment FTW!! LOL pricelss. Tammy,

This looks like a great recipe. I hate opening those cans too that pop always scares me.

How can you go wrong with anything that has cheese AND sour cream? YUMMY!

I totally lost it with Max's sound effects. I have a 13 yr old and I have the same sound effects here. ROFL.

  • @Ultimatecruegirl I live with two male persons and they drive me crazy with farts in the kitchen (during mealtimes sometimes), this was just something my Mom would not have tolerated, lol. I have had to concede and only really demand an "excuse me" afterwards at the very least!
