When I first heard about Kemp's Afghanistan shows, I cringed, then I saw them (on You Tube) and was very impressed.

Not gung ho, but fair, in depth and of the highest quality.

No agenda on his part either, unlike some journalists, (as in a reporter who started posting negative pieces about the British Army in Afghanistan, after his large size meant they stopped him from going out on patrol for his and their own safety!)

For me Ross Kemp is genuine man. The programs he has done with the Royal air force and Royal navy is really great and i enjoy watching all of them. i do not miss any of them. I think he deserve to retain his award again. We all need to support him. He takes some courage to go out there and do them program, and we can actually watch it on TV, for my point of view that awesome and he is a brave man.

I think the marines were wearing desert DPM (same as their uniforms), however the Royal Navy security personel and crew on the decks were wearing the new hybrid DPM pattern. The idea of this is that it will sort of go with temperate and desert patterns, so armour and load carrying systems will not need to be issued in two colours.
