One theory is they took out all the songs with "Go!"s or w/e due to similarities with Michael Jackson's music. It is rumoured he wrote the songs for this game, but was not credited due to the pedophilia claims, something which Sega would not want to be associated with, so they changed the music for the later PC release.

I see your point; the same thing happened when I switched from PC to Genesis. Because I was used to the PC music (this) I pretty much hated the three replaced themes.

this is the PC version music thats why, check through the videos of MJ and sonic 3 comparision video, the whole story is there.

Why the music is different? I know why in a couple of cases....at least two tracks for Sonic 3 were actually composed by Michael Jackson. The Genesis version just predates the scandal. I guess Sega wanted to purge all traces of the One-Gloved Wonder for future versions. I know he did compose the Carbival Night music, maybe he also did the Launch Base.

You can only be super Tails in Sonic 3 and Knuckles (PC, Genesis (both games), or Sonic Mega Collection). You have to get the super Emeralds as Tails. If the Wii version has Sonic 3 and Knuckles, then you can. You can tell by the theme song, or when you beat Launch base, you'll go to Mushroom hill zone.

To get super tails, you need to get all the chaos emeralds, (before or after mushroom hill zone) then enter Hidden Palace Zone using super rings (one is found at the beggining of mushroom hill) Then you need to complete all the special stages to get all the super emeralds. (Normal chaos emeralds won't let tails become super)

no no, before you reach mushroom hill zone, is all. then, you get all the super emeralds, and then you get super tails. or simply use the debug mode code, play any level as tails, turn into a box, paste one, and then you can turn into super tails.
