@noobstuntguy technically 28 days later and 28 weeks later are not zombie movies, they have similarities but when an infected is killed in 28 through the heart or otherwise they die, they are just really f--'d up humans, "zombies" you can shoot'em, burn'em, freeze'em, cut off a hand, arm, leg, and they will still come at you till the brain is destroyed, hence, a zombie.

George Romero "accidentally" reinvented them into what most people consider zombies (though he never called them zombies, but ghouls). The popularity of the zombie has spawned so many sub-genres that the "infected humans" in 28 Days Later are still considered zombies.

They have the same traits that make them zombie-esque, but still fall short of the mark. Infected humans are not, they are still alive.

I like the list although I dont think any would be on my list... maybe dawn and shaun of the dead, but there are some good ones out there... I dont think Pontypool was before 2009 but it was really interesting... The hoarde is a recent one that comes to mind... rec, 28 weeks later... not exactly zombie movies but if polturgiest counts then so do they.
