No hate towards Mariah..but Amel iz more of an indie artist and less mainstream..but,they both owe the high note voice to Ms. Minnie Riperton who dosent get enuff props...but Amel iz a very good artist..Lovely Standards is another amazing album
They can both hit high notes. Mariah Carey is more whispery though. One person who has a great voice but has been extremely underrated is Shanice. One thing about her is that, all of her high notes are always crisp and clear.
