  • Hi. good job. How many led can you use? is that the maximum?

  • @magorwilly1 The datasheet for the LM3915 has information on adding more LEDs. A quick google.com search should be able to help you find it "lm3915 datasheet"

  • Cool

  • This is great!

  • damn cuz mine is exactly like the schematics and it doest work...

  • @xtigoxxx email me pics of your circuit if you can here: uberscientist@gmail.com

    I'll try and help

  • are you sure you did that acording to the schematics ?

  • @xtigoxxx

    I'm not sure!

I think so, but I am not sure, maybe I tweeked something here or there... it's bread boarded in the video, I believe the one built as the schematic may be less sensitive than the one in the video, since it was designed to be attached to a bike wheel.

  • this is really cool can you please tell me the codes of the chips you have used for this project i mean LM396 and LM3916 asap thanks

  • Be happy.

  • Is that a Peak Detector on there?

Can I use a transistord peak detector instead?

  • Im building 2 of these for my car soon, just got the parts and a breadboard :D will post when my car is completely finished :)

  • EDIT: You could use the dual LM339 8 LED VU Meter circuit, thats what im doing. I have the LM 3914 circuit, much simpler, but i think the LM339 is next in line...

Couldnt u use a circuit mic for the signal instead of a speaker input?

  • Hi

Can you give my the manual construction and the circuit for the microfone led vu meter.

    Thanks

  • one half of those 3 months has passed :)

there is no chematic of vu-meter with mic on net, i try to find it every once in a while, but no can do...

i dont mean to annoy you, but hurry up!!

    haha, sorry...

    all the best,

    milan

  • Heeeyyyy man, message me for the schematic URL or just check out the battery powered VU meter instruct able comments.

(or just check the video description)

    Peace

  • thats it man!!! Thanks

i'll make it with 10x10cm clear plexiglass squares stacked vertically with little gap between them, and a blue diode in every piece...

    i can begin now...

    thanks

  • SCHEMATIC. NOW.

  • This is really cool!

  • it's gonna get cooler, just waiiit for it ;P
