  • so someone tell me how many godzilla's are their?

  • This GODZILLA is better than the japan one. Its more real looking and its cgi. and not a suit its easier to animate the stuff than suits thats why the man past out in 1954 in the GODZILLA suit .

  • Zilla was a lizard

    Godzilla was a Dinosaur

    Massive difference

  • Zilla was a movie that never should have been made. he might had gotten alot of fans but as a old fan for many years it felt like Godzilla was rapped and turned into this Asexual Lizard. The American version had no godzilla feel over it. i enjoyed it only fairly since i like big monsters but Zilla just dont cut it as a Bad ass monster. Godzilla is a Monster.. Zilla is more of a Animal

  • jap godzilla is the original and i respect that but talking about movies, the usa version was better

  • @DudUsucK it was also alot later then the original godzilla.

  • @DudUsucK talking about remakes, zilla is shit.

  • Its funny that zilla was the most realistic looking monster on the movie

  • I think zilla is higly underrated maybe not as strong as godzilla but seriously deserves more respect

  • Whoever hates Godzilla needs to die!

  • they should do Jap. godzilla vs zilla vs 2012 godzilla. that would be epic! i would pay to see that.

  • @mw3jwz That's why the Japanese Godzilla has had 28 sequels, while "Zilla" hasn't even had one...

  • @Gojira2012 ummm FINAL WARS?

  • @god696 Final Wars doesn't really count a sequel, especialy when you only had less than two minutes of screen time...

  • @Gojira2012 still he did play in the movie, at least a lil credit

  • @Gojira2012 13 Second fight. Zilla was only included so Soho could rip on Zilla. Zilla sucked.

Godzilla 1998 was a good monster movie, but not a Godzilla movie

  • @god696 he died from 1 blast..

  • @Ryuulinh dont matter he still aired in the movie

  • @god696 Zilla had like 30 seconds of screen time and all it was, was him getting blown the fuck up.

  • @T3amBed and? he still fought godzilla and got his ass blown to pices ik id admit he got ass fucked but still, he shill was in the fucking movie....they coulda put destroya in it..

  • @mw3jwz how come zilla was killed by missiles and godzilla survives bombs?

  • @REALAlberto116 cuz zillas skin is just well, skin, while godzilla has 2 lares of skin, hard ass rock then the actual skin it self

  • I liked this better than the original... >_< thought it looked more animalistic and not a guy in a lame siut

  • @Stormeris This movie is a cheap popcorn movie that Americans simpily didn't care for. But the original Gojira actually had an impact on Japanese audiances back in 1954 because of the bombing of hiroshima. Guy in a Suit > CGI

  • @Gojira2012 I know, but im not talking about the movies, im talking about the creature itself, i know theyre not the same GODZILLAs, i've seen most of the godzilla movies, even the japanese one with Zilla, where he got one-hit-killed....

  • @Stormeris I wouldn't call the suit lame if I were you. Nowadays, anyone could use CGI to create monsters, but it take skill to actually make a costume. It's an art people nowadays rarely use, which sucks, because no matter how good you make the CGI effects, it still looks fake. I think it's better to have something real on the screen than have CG effects.

  • @avpkid345 im not talking about the suit vs CGI or puppets or whatnots, im just talking about the design

  • Hearing the roar itself is a total "DO NOT FUCK WITH ME!!"

  • @TheDarkNeonHero: Until he attempts to take on the REAL King of the Monsters. Then he just gets obliterated in 13 seconds.

  • I actually like Zilla's roar. Not so much the fact that he was supposed to be Godzilla, which he's not, but his roar is pretty cool.

  • the best roar ever

  • wait wheres the god

  • @MarioFan940

It's time for KNOWING YOUR GIANT MONSTERS 101!!!

After the end of Heisei series of Godzilla movies, Toho gave the rights to Tristar to make an American Remake of the original 1954 Godzilla. In essence, they abuse these rights and created a totally different creature and slapped Godzilla's name on it. This was the American "Godzilla" of 1998.

  • @MarioFan940 Afterwards, Toho rebooted the Godzilla franchise with the Millennium Series. Throughout these movies, Toho tried to seperated the American Godzilla and the real one as two different creatures, and tied them to the same universe to back this up.

In GMK (2001) When various experts and such are discussing the history of Godzilla, it is explained that a few years before, another monster attacked NY City. The Americans think it was Godzilla, but in fact, it wasn't.

  • @MarioFan940 Later, in 2004, Toho officially renamed the American version "Zilla", declaring it and Godzilla to be totally different monsters. In fact, in Godzilla: Final Wars, Zilla makes an appearance attacking Sydney, Australia. Later in the film, he actually fights the real Godzilla, and loses in what was declared the shortest monster battle in Godzilla history, lasting only 14 seconds.

  • @KyleAndDougsRandomTV i saw the battle too, i think that Godzilla(zilla) should have been Godzilla:s biggest challenge, to me they are they same, our godzilla is faster, smarter and have has godzilla's strength not to mention his power breath, if yu dont belive me check out godzilla the series and tell me wht yu think

  • @seanteezzyy123

I think the Final Wars Zilla is a clone... I mean, if you saw the '98 film, that thing is smart enough to use ambush attacks and all that shit, while in Final Wars, all he did was attack head-on and die. Either that, or they reanimated his corpse...

  • @triplepogi2009

Or, this Deanzilla was the one at the end of the Deanzilla movie. Deanzilla (or rather Zilla) is a reference to Dean Devlin.

  • @KameMidori11

Probably.. but I still 50% doubt it for some reason, but it is possible...

  • @triplepogi2009

Fair enough. Notice that these sounds for Deanzilla are used in the Deanzilla movie and Deanzilla: The Series as well as Godzilla: Final Wars.

  • @KameMidori11

I think he missed a few roars from Godzilla Final Wars...

If I recalled watching it, his roars sound different at most scenes (though they did use a few roars from the '98 film in some scenes, and even high pitched versions of the original roars... for... some reason...)

  • @triplepogi2009

Another possibility is that the Deanzilla from Godzilla: Final Wars is that from Deanzilla: The Series.

  • @KameMidori11

I mean, they also controlled Rodan, Angurius and King Ceasar and pretty much the other monsters... guess that's the case then...

Oh and as a side note, I actually like both monsters. Zilla may not be Godzilla but as a seperate kaiju, he's okay. Especially Zilla jr in the animated series. But Godzilla will still be my favorite kaiju... possibly alongside the Cloverfield monster as well, but that's another story...

  • @triplepogi2009

Yes, the Xilians controlled Rodan, Anguirus, and King Shisa, except Godzilla spared Rodan, Anguirus, and King Shisa since they were his allies. Deanzilla on the other hand was annihilated by Godzilla in Godzilla: Final Wars.

It is interesting that you enjoy Deanzilla as well as Clover from Cloverfield.

  • @KameMidori11

Godzilla is still my favorite though.

  • I still love Zilla's screams better than Godzilla's lol

  • I don't care what people say American Godzilla kicks ass! Best design (godzilla 2000 is a very close second) and best roar.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL in the end of the 1998 movie there was an egg, maybe this is Zilla Jr. ?

  • @HL2BeTAFaN22 yes baby godzilla but doubt we'll ever see godzilla Jr

  • odd how many people in america hated it but the japanese loved it since for once it isnt tokyo being destroyed

  • @gangrail It was loved as a movie, a monster, but not as Godzilla. For this, this was not Godzilla...

  • @Lizatar5 :D

  • @Lizatar5 new godzilla was better then clover field

  • @Lizatar5 yeah, he's actually his american brother, Zilla :)

  • nok off want-a-be

  • I feel people will NEVER get over this grudge over the American Godzilla, and no I'm not calling it "Zilla" it's Godzilla, of IT'S world, the way it should have been. When the new American Movie comes out people will stay hate THIS ONE, me? personally This one is my favourite sure i think the series "sequel" is the best thing TV ever gave us, The Ultimate Godzilla, the body of a realistic beast spirit and power of everyone classic Godzilla. They should have been kept seperate, too late now.

  • @JasonAlexVoorhees No what they should have done is given it another name, i can respect this monster for being a version of Godzilla but the owners and creators of the whole Godzilla timeline gave it a different name like it should have been done. "Zilla" is an accurate name showing the similarities in the "monster" (zilla) part of the name but not the "king" part or the "reputation" part (God). So yes, the american Godzilla or "Zilla" can be respected, only if respect can be given were needed.

  • did anyone else hear mogera around 0:00 and0:01

  • 13 years and counting, maybe people should get over it maybe not. Think about it though all it took was one movie to ruin Godzilla for the American audiances. No the movie wasnt terrible, it was okay but the fact that it bears the name of the King makes it sad in my book. And yes... Godzilla would have won that fast against zilla.

  • @Lizatar5 he wouldnt win that fast..i love them both but i like american better...if u put them in an accurate fight then it wouldnt be so much the japanese winning

  • @rider5ify Well think about this for a sec, Zilla got tooken down by jet missiles right? Well Godzilla's atomic breath is definitely stronger seeing as his breath has done some damagae on Monsters where missles did nothing. Using this logic one fire of his atomic breath would be enough to wipe out Zilla like what happened in the movie. Granted i think zilla would have agility on its side and maybe would last a bit longer, but what happened in the movie was also a possibility .

  • @Lizatar5 BUT if zilla were to burrow underground and mess up the ground around godzilla n he fell in the hole n cant climb out cuz he has a hard enough time gettn up after fallin...then zilla will jus burn him wit fire n having to dodge the atomic blast of course but seing how godzilla melted in 1 of the movies...then it can haapn again

  • @rider5ify In Godzilla vs Mothra: The Battle for Earth, Godzilla actually falls into a volcanic crack in the sea floor and is engulfed in magma. Later in the film, Godzilla reemerges from Mt. Fuji, and it is explained that Godzilla had actually swam his way through the lava undergroud, up into the volcano, and came out the top.

That said, Godzilla can withstand VERY high temperatures, far greater than any heat fire could produce.

  • the usa godzill is better than any other well is dose not have a lazer beam but it is still my number 1

  • godzilla vs t-rex, godzilla wins

  • i prefer zilla....i LOVE the original goddzilla movies but he looks all fat and kiddish....he's still badass though

  • i have a question... will there be another Godzilla movie ( I am talking about the Japanese one but it would be awesome if they made a American one but called Zilla not Godzilla)?

  • The animated series Zilla was better. The way they made him looked in final wars was a joke. I'm not saying he would of won, but he definitely wouldn't have lost that fast.

  • @Maximumcarnage2 japan did that to be funny cuz seeing how american godzilla can burrow..then he can put up a fight...in final wars that was bullshit..he jumped thru da air..straight bullshit

  • @Maximumcarnage2 You have to realize that the final wars fight was a fan tease meant to show how no pretenders to the throne will be tolerated. Godzilla will always be stronger then his cousin zilla. I say cousin because that's my prefered story arc from toho.

  • @TheyCallMeProphet98 I agree Godzilla is stronger then zilla and I do like the cousin story too.

  • godzilla 1998 and Godzilla final wars rockxxx

  • I loved the movie! AND I'M NOT CRAZY!!!!

  • @EP1KCAMPER well both movies were made by the same director, J.J. Abrams.

  • @turahktheterror I mean american godzillas name is zilla

  • @GaratinasTrainer well technically his name was Godzilla in the American movie and since the Japanese hated it so much they renamed it zilla. It's technically Godzilla because when you name a baby and your friend does not like that you name it after there baby and they call your baby something else you know that it still the name that you gave it to them. I like both so it doesn't really matter.

  • @turahktheterror if u had a brain u would know that the japan godzilla name is godzilla and the american godzilla name is godzilla duh. Dickhead

  • why does everybody call him zilla hes called godzilla, sheesh if u had a brain u would know that

  • @turahktheterror I think people call him Zilla to keep the canon separate.

  • You do know that picture is from Godzilla Final Wars, right?

  • @Unicron439 Thanks Captin Obvious! 8)

  • @Unicron439 Toho killed him 13/12 seconds...If they really hated it so bad why use it in that film.

  • Japan already corrected us on it. Zilla attacked New York, Americans thought it was Godzilla and named it, but they were stupid. Thus it is dubbed as Zilla and an actual monster for the big G to rumble with from now on.

  • I don't know zilla. I know Godzilla. Godzilla danced the jig on top of the remains of Tokyo in the 1965. It was funny, AND it was impressive. It left an impression on me. Zilla is most likely a lesbian Godzilla. Fuck her.

Go, GO! Toyko's got to go! Go, go Godzilla!

  • 100th like! :D

  • the only reason i don't like this movie is that is not godzilla, its like a t-rex or something. If the movie ha a diffrent name it would be awesome, but i acn't see past the viel.

  • I enjoyed Zilla quite a bit, mostly since I love dinosaurs and all that stuff so it was interesting from an animal view-point. Faithful to Godzilla? nope. Enjoyable? Aw yeah.

  • I like both godzilla and zilla, i prefer more godzilla over zilla, but I know that they had to change godzilla in the american version b/c americans would have felt the movie was stupid if it was just giant rubber suit monsters battling each other. who says zilla and godzilla can't exist together? i would love to see the people criticizing zilla try to make a big budget successfull godzilla movie here in the US that outshines what the 1998 film earned.. j. godzilla would never be mainstream here

  • Godzilla is smarter because he can understand human speech. Zilla is faster, but has a brain it only uses instincts on.

  • @jpokerstar1 wait he can what movie does he under stand human speech are you talking about jr?just wondering.

  • Sounds like my yawn

  • godzilla attacks japan, zilla attacks usa

    simple

  • that's zilla jr the original died in the first movie and this pic wasnt in it sorry i cant help it its a desease called being A DICK

  • zilla should have won in final wars he is the son of godzilla he should be as good or better

  • he is one mad dinosaur

  • i think the movie could have been better..i do like the idea of another godzilla (besides spacegodzilla and mecha-godzilla) but he does look cool...just hate the story line of it :/ btw i LOVE how japan made fun of that movie by making him look like crap xD

  • I agree with DarkenedArc, people need to get over the fact that Zilla was nothing like Godzilla. Its been 13 long years and people still keep saying crap like "Zilla suks godzilla rocks." Come on people! Its just ONE movie! I personally thought the movie was OK, yet hardly anyone else does. GET OVER IT.

  • @GZilla2010 the movie was a good one

  • @GZilla2010 I agree, I mean, yeah, he was by no means comparable to godzilla, but they did a decent job with him as a seperate monster.

  • @GZilla2010 i like the 98 godzilla movie.

  • @GZilla2010 Damn Right!

  • @worldtradecenter1000 You know it!

  • @GZilla2010 i agree with u it isnt a REAL godzilla movie its a monster movie its ok i mean its not the best but i can live with it. And your right also its been a long time people get over it!

  • @GZilla2010 I have a slightly different view, in the 1998 movie, there was no link to the Japanese Godzilla, as far as the fictional Universe was concerned This Godzilla and the Japanese one were in different dimensions/ worlds altogether. And I was fine with that, That is and should have stayed the Godzilla of it's own world along with "Godzilla The Series" let them have it's own lore. But no Japan had to connect with the Japanese one, which i feel was a bad move for everyone.

  • @JasonAlexVoorhees

Actually they make a reference to the 1998 Godzilla in GMK. So they are tied together..

  • @Myusernamerulez I know they're tied now, that movie was the one that tied them what I'm saying is they SHOULDN'T have been tied to the same Universe, they should have been left seperate

  • i wish godzilla lived

  • Nice

  • FUCK YOU ZILLA!!! GODZILLA U ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It just goes to show you that when Japan makes something, America fucks it up!!

  • @peleking352 Yeah but some of the Toho company helped make the U.S Godzilla movie, plus I bet they made Zilla like this so they wouldn't have to copyright they original Godzilla.

  • @MsAllosaurus this movie wasnt bad, it was just the actors who really ruined it.

  • @peleking352 I thought the actors were great they had some great potential and some of the quotes were funny.

  • @MsAllosaurus and it also shows U Japanese people R smart.

  • @peleking352 Well their civilization is more sucessful than ours I mean they already have Holograms for the anime characters to appear like that Miku character.

  • The pic is cute!

  • zilla is not a dinosaur but he luke like one.

  • I think they we trying to make a more realistic Godzilla in America.

  • come on people its been 13 years GET OVER IT

  • Zilla = T-Rex + stegosaurus

  • @kndwin003 Zilla = big iguana

  • What's with the graphic on him?

  • call me crazy but i acctually liked this movie. thats my oppinion

  • @Dinozilla626 Did you actually enjoy the movie, or did you enjoy the special effects/artistic direction?

I'm going to try and look at this out of bias for a second. Godzilla 1998 - Amazing special effects that really brought Godzilla to life. A good, detailed monster design and some REALLY epic scenes of carnage and action.

The problem was terrible writing and acting. Denying these were bad really is unacceptable. The whole worm guy and reporter romance was forced like a shit out of my ass.

  • @jjrudki I acctually like the whole thing. All the acting and everything. But that is just my opinion.

  • @Dinozilla626 Fair enough, can't argue with that.

  • @jjrudki i did enjoy the movie for what it was a fun monster movie, but you are right the script was awful and the acting was worse but the godzilla itself looks amazing and the destruction and carnage of the city was awesome.

but i would love it if they made the movie rated r .

  • Hello dinosorable XD lol

  • Toho made Zilla die quickly because Toho did not like the crap Tristar made. Zilla ain't bad but let's face it,. Godzilla beats Zilla.

  • Zilla look pretty cool. He was very awesome roars!

  • @Dinosorable He looked cool but he sucked.

  • @Gamoroid You can say that again. Godzilla is so much cooler!

  • @Dinosorable He looked cool but he sucked.

  • @Gamoroid What? Not Godzilla! Godzilla is awesome, compaired to that weak Zilla!

  • aye when i watched cloverfield and this thing looked pretty immortal i was thinking where the fuck is Godzilla to fuck this thing up? ^^

  • yayz zilla my favorite godzila monster and godzilla

  • @JordantheFox123 ur a faggot then

  • who agrees that they fucked up godzilla's name in the us and that they made godzilla the best monster in japan

  • @tacoticke except the series

  • @FidelAlejo yeah

  • @tacoticke I think that Zilla was fine...Infact (though Godzilla has and will be my favorite movie monster) Zilla does have a few attributes that I wish Godzilla had. If anything Zilla is another of the many pieces of Godzilla's legacy.

  • @tacoticke They didn't just fuck up his name, they RAPED it!

  • @tacoticke Atleast they dubbed the Godzilla movies to English.

  • @tacoticke I disagree, zilla is just as good

  • @tacoticke I most certainly agree with that sentiment

  • @tacoticke Fucked up what name? ö.ö Godzilla or Zilla? Because Zilla was the japanese name they gave to the american one. They didn't want that american monster to have the same name as their beloved Godzilla... or better Gojira ^^

  • @BadBeanEntertainment Uh, Godzilla was the American name for Gojira back then

  • @tacoticke I agree, though Zilla isn't all that bad. Don't get me wrong, the original is by far, much better. Though I respect the fact that America tried to make their own version. But let's face it. America cannot compete with japan when it comes to Kaiju. (Giant monsters) As for Zilla being poorly animated in Final Wars, my guess is that they didn't care too much about how he looked. I guess Toho wanted to get the point across that "Gino aint got shit on Godzilla"

  • @MrDurakaza I think that Zilla would have been a fine monster if they didn't try to pass him off as Godzilla. Like if he were a completely different monster, and had his own powers and the like.

  • @ChristianLav Agreed, and @sonicsupergod, I have no idea what you're talking about or trying to say, mind clarifying please? Thanks.

  • @MrDurakaza Looks like you forgot all about how the movie would of been.

  • @MrDurakaza I must disagree with you and other. I prefer the American version of him because he was faster smarter and move clever than the army trying to take him down. The japanese Godzilla was a big hulking brute with very little in the way of intelligence. Sorry. But Brains over Brawns. Zilla was smarter faster and could out think the humans. Another old saying it's not always the strongest who wins the fight. Just ask Goliath when he fought David.

  • @Gekkou25 Well you can disagree all you like, no skin off my bones. But do remember when you are using that bible reference, that there was a battle between this "David and Goliath" and I assure you, Toho.Co, the owner of each monster, by t
