yes, its cute, nice, awsome... bla bla bla... yes, the model is great, but not the vid. try another cam and dont hav your fingers everywhere. sometimes i cant see what you are doing.
Made a new version, which shows all pre-creasing (I used to make them without precreasing, but with precreasing it is much easier...)let me know if you can make it now!! ;)
Congratulations!! It is not a model for today's instant convenience society... As per many other things in life it is the not the destination but the journey that makes it interesting. In my mind solving the puzzle is a big part of the attraction in many origami models ;-)
Thanks! The 1:00-1:10 part is tricky indeed, that's why I made response with the white paper... but even so will not be that easy when you're not in to origami.
I think i'll stop trying to make super swan...All of the videos i have watched about super swan...They r like 2x faster than normal human would do...I made out to 2:20 and then i'll crashed...Look like this guy at 2:20 to 2:33...Can someone make it with normal speed and slowly...
Original is by Maarten van Gelder, 1997 Aug, "The Great Swanny" I've made a variation with the neck in order to be able to make it also with much smaller pieces of paper.
now come on guys... its a swan made out of paper... you cant expect it to be friggin stunning... but this one IS a hell of alot better looking that the regular PrisonBreak swans we see EVERYWHERE! 5***** stars from me!
I think part of the difficulty lies in the fact that the paper is the same colour on both sides. One one-sided paper, the white creates a visible contrast that helps a lot with collapses.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Esp. the 1:10 collapse is not so easy. It was pre-creased to save time. You can do all sort of variations with the neck and it looks much better than that platypus-rat cross breed from prison break...
Hey there! I think this vid is more to show makin' it rather than teaching... It is ok for me if it doenst have sound, I'm pacient and I manage to figure things out somehow, but the paper there is already creased and at 01:10 I went completely clueless... So, guess I'll keep tryin' XD
back when I was burning my neurons up trying to figure out how to do the folds, that vid wasnt there yet. But I've already done the model, it's posted here. Nevertheless, thanx for your help! ;)

watch the video responding to this one (with the blue paper) It will teach you much better, especially the 1.10-part
