For me both Peace Sells and Rust in Peace are MegaDeth's best albums. They are like 1A and 1B as far as I'm concerned. Both are Thrash masterpieces and although I think RIP is a more developed and technical Thrash record, Peace Sells is a much more powerful, visceral Thrash album. If I had to absolutely choose one right here on the spot I'd give the nod to Peace Sells.
I think yuo should talk a bit more about the songs. Such as in your The world needs a hero review you say something like "theres some songs that could be put in a top 10 song, and some that is very forgetable", and then you stop there. For many people the reason why they watch these kinds of videos is to find out a bit more as to why the songs they find awesome are just that. Or for instance I think Bodies from Endgame is pretty underrated, so I go to a review of that album. Just my thoughts.
@vivelehardcore well im just saying, people who would search up something about megadeth has probably already hear peace sells, rust in peace, and countdown
Man I can't pick which is Megadeth album is their Best, they'll have a special place, but man this album would Probably be up there, KIMB is Perfect too!
I saw Megadeth on this tour opening for Iron Maiden on the Somewhere in Time tour. Back in the day, I was also a huge fan of this album, and still think it's great. Anyway, Megadeth (or Dave) showed up late. He was fucking hammered and because of how drunk he was and how late they were, they played maybe 20 minutes. 20 minutes might have been enough, because he couldn't even play his own songs.
@eatmorbagels27 Actually I will admit that was the album that got me interested in Thrash Metal when I was in 9th grade, so it does hold a special place for me, but I feel that the album is just too repetitive for me to call it the best thrash album ever. IMO the best Slayer album overall is South of Heaven with Seasons In the Abyss coming in as a close 2nd.
@patorr69 yeah once an album becomes something that 9 out of 10 people know, it starts to get a little annoying. but it doesnt necessarily change it's quality. honestly, my favorite is god hates us all, mostly cuz i like the energy the album has.
@eatmorbagels27 i like god hates us all to defentliy my second favorite but south of heaven will always be my favorite from slayer no album opens up with such a evil riff and gets you pumped so well i mean the song south of heavens my favorite song from them to song like spill the blood, manitory suicide, and ghosts of war,and read between the lies make me listen to that cd a hell of alot god hates us all is a easy 2nd though followed by reign in blood.
This is the album that got me into Megadeth. I heard "Symphony of Destruction" before and I just couldn't stand the vocals, but this album completely changed my outlook of the band
might seem weird but i have an idea for your next video i was listening to "As i am" by dream theater in my moms car and i thought this isn't that bad that as far as heaviness this could get radio play but it doesn't get any air play neither does any prog metal despite it seems perfect for radio play. DT,sX,QS,opeth ect...so why doesn't prog metal get any radio play despite it should please reply or make an episode - signed your fan
Devil's Island is not a satanic song. It is about a guy who is about to be executed but before it happens, his life is spared by god. However, he has to spend the rest of his life in the eponymous island prison.
I just wanted to get that minor error out of the way. Incredible review as usual.
Changing the subject, I wanted to know when you are going to finish your Shadow Gallery discografy. I really want to hear your opinion on 'Legacy' and 'Room V'.
Great album, 'The Conjuring' is just so damn fun to play on guitar. Megadeth songs were always more intricate and harder to play than Metallica. '86 was a great year, this album, 'Master of Puppets' and 'Reign in Blood'. Great review man, nice how you went in-depth and covered the times. Amazing that the amount of dope they were snorting, this album came out so good.
I also did not dig this album at first, but then something just clicked. I guess it was the part where Dave grunts "what the fuck is this?" - gosh, that line gives me chills every time.
i'm seeing them tomorrow!!! in Philly

Peace sells... has grandiose guitar playing w/ sandpaper (bad-ass) vocals-it may just be the coolest dichotomy known to man!
