I was a german tourist in JUNE 2008 and made a roundtrip for Gays, too. It was so wondeful all: the desert, the Golan hieghts, the Dead Sea with Qumram, Sea Tiberias, Haifa, Netanya, Jaffa and Tel Aviv by night. was so short and quick over - and i miss some places too. I´ll come back so soon I can. PETER
palestine before zionism was a dirty, primite backward desert. why don't you see pictures and read books that people who visited palestine before zioism - wrote. The green, developen country you see in these pictures is the result of hard work and love that the zionists have put in this land. don't delude yourself that this was palestine before 1882.
I never been in Israel, but I believe that Israel is a really beautiful country. I love Israel and jewish people very much and I really wanna go to Israel!
Thank you! I hope you do go someday, it's a wonderful place. ^^ The song is beautiful, it's my favorite song by her. Unfortunately, the singer is dead. She died of AIDS complications, I understand.
I came back from Israel two weeks ago, it was fabulous, it was probably a very similar trip to yours, I went to practically all these places and more... Did you go for a month? Was it with a British youth movement?
Yes, I'm English... We went to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, we had an Israeli exchange in Haifa where we stayed with Israeli's my age, and went to parties and played pool and had an amazing time... We went on lots of hikes, Golan Heights.
We went to the Negev desert, visited Drews, bedouins. We went to the Gaza strip. We did charity work in a poor Arab village and went to an Arab summer camp for an afternoon and did facepaints and other activities with little kids... an amazing, unforgettable trip... We did much more...
Sounds awesome. We did the bedouin camp and visited the Negev desert. Good for you for doing volunteer work while you were there. We didn't have time for anything other than touring. ^^;;;
I didn't like feeling like a tourist, being led around all the sights, taking pictures, rucksacks (backpacks). When we did the volunteer work, we felt much more integrated. I really miss it there, especially the weather lol.
XD i live in ramat-aviv in tel aviv, and its a nice video but i really dont get whats so exiting about seeing stuff you see everyday just in hebrew lol
YOU get to see it everyday. That was my first time in Israel. I thought it would be nice to share what Israel is like from the eyes of someone who isn't a native Israeli.
and by the way, ii already said the video itself was nice but i was talking about like the books & the coke, again im just laughing cause its funny im not saying its bad or anything
Hi Dragon and thank you. I married and left Israel 46 years ago and miss it all the time. Your photos though made me even more homesick also gave me much pleasure.
The pictures DO do it justice. Everything about your video is beautifully done, the pictures, the music, the commentary. Watching it is a lovely experience. Congratulations on doing such a good job!
im glad you had fan buddy :)

I visited Israel in August of 1971, when I was a soldier in Viet Nam.
I stayed at the Park Hotel in Tel Aviv, and took guided bus tours to all of the same places you show in your video.
Yes, if at all possible, EVERYBODY should take the opportunity to visit the Land of Israel!

This awakens memories of both joy and sadness. I spent a couple of years in Israel and the Sinai many years ago.
You did good, Dragon. Now I'm all maudlin and nostalgic....
