@SACAcichlids Thanks! It's a 175 bowfront. I no longer have the Dovii though, he got too mean. I gave him to a friend to put in a tank all by himself. Sadly, he dug in some places he shouldn't have, and got himself crushed by a rock. He ended up dying from his wounds.. :( A great loss.

Ifd that male dovii was paired up with a female then those tank mates would be history. Male dovii's are capable of reaching 30in in the wild but in captivity you usually see 22in give or take. RD's mouth are better for lip locking. Dovii's mouth will cover the RD"S face when trying to lip lock. RD"S are no push over fish. They are up there as one of the most aggressive fish.
i would put my money on devils against anything apart from dovii,jag, umbee,black nasty, beani and trimacs and some flowerhorns but all fish are individuals and sometimes supposedly weaker less aggressive species can win a fight dependant on many factors like breeding and guarding fry etc, convicts are nasty little pricks when breeding and won't back down, as i found out when i came home 1 day and my females lips had been ripped off by my JD..

It depends where you live. I've heard of store like petco and petsmart selling Dovii. But where I live it pretty hard to find a dovii unless I drive like 100+ miles to a bigger city.

It seem unfair because the red devil is gettin alot of help from his companion in the tank. How ever the dovii is a smart cichlid, it back off and come back when the red devil is by itself for a second. I think the dovii is just playin around with the red devil as well because dovii are like the notorious outlaw cichlids in the fresh water world.
This was the only real fight these two had. Unfortunately I only caught the last couple minutes on tape. The first part was really brutal. I put the Wolf in a tank by himself at my brother in law's house. It was just beating on the other fish too much....

It seem unfair because the red devil is gettin alot of help from his companion in the tank. How ever the dovii is a smart cichlid, it back off and come back when the red devil is by itself for a second. I think the dovii is just playin around with the red devil as well because dovii are like the notorious outlaw cichlids in the fresh water world.

its not fair for the red devil too because doviis have some big assed mouths this reminds me when my devil ripped my doviis mouth lips off

This was the only real fight these two had. Unfortunately I only caught the last couple minutes on tape. The first part was really brutal. I put the Wolf in a tank by himself at my brother in law's house. It was just beating on the other fish too much....
