@invisiblejaguar1 I remember a friend told me how he went to a country where they hadn't aired part two yet and it would be a year until they did. They just finished part one while he had seen part two, so when someone mentioned how long it would be he said "Want to know how it ends?".
Damn! That was SO THE SHITZNIC!!! OMG! That wait for the following three months was agony indeed....3 LONG months, try to figure out what was going to happen. EASILY one of the best cliffhangers EVER!! God! I LOVES ME SOME TREK!!!!
I love the Borg as more machine and zombie-like in the earlier episodes. They seem more alien and more terrifying. Not gonna bother with humans, they're just not a threat
My ONLY complaint about this, is that in "Descent" we saw that the Borg can move very fast and fire built-in weapons at people. Combine that with their super-strength and I'm left wondering why they can't do that here.
The Borg were a lot more cumbersome when they were first introduced, but the Borg in "Descent" had evolved away from the collective and changed from their initial state.
They do, however, move much faster in "First Contact" and on Voyager.
"Your life, as it has been, is over." Can you imagine if a Star Trek show actually used that principle? What if a Trek show had a singular 5 or 6 season arc, where the stakes were high, main characters died, the main plot transformed unexpectedly, and recurring themes were explored in depth? The Trek franchise still has life in it, if they'd simply commit to such a show.

US/ U.S. United States of America Gene Rodenberry knew what was going on in this country and tried to inform people about it the best way he could. I remember watching this as a child. I didn't know cliffhangers existed until I saw this. "Three agonizing months later" is right! I spent that whole summer just dying to see what happened next.
'Best of Both Worlds' still has a real dark element to it...they really did do well to express the threat that Earth faced...even though some parts are a bit dated...it still holds up as gripping, entertaining, and intense!!
I loved a lot of DS9, but I honestly think Star Trek peaked right here. I only wish CBS would green-light remastering some of TNG the way they did TOS. Imagine a Wolf 359 graveyard with today's FX!

The title 'Locutus' comes in deed from Latin. It is the masculine form of the present participle for 'loquor-loqui-locutus' which means 'to speak.'

Locutus: Latin, perfect passive participle of word Loquor, which means to "talk" or "speak". Courtesy of Wikipedia.
"Death is Irrelevant" Courtesy of Borg. =)
