Actually the zune and ipod use similar sound files so you don't really lose any sound quality over either music player. I own an ipod I like it. Never had a zune but, I like the wi-fi with it/radio and picture backround.

In all honesty iPod Touch is not a true competator for the Zune, it has less space and is more expensive. Comparing iPod Touch to Zune is like comparing the iPhone to a Go Phone. They are two different markets. The Zune 4 8 and 16's competator is the the iPod Nano and the Zune 30 80 and 120's competator is the ipod Classic actually. and I think Zune does trump its competition. I've owned both
