A most beautiful version of this song, it tells the hair raising tale of the Irish Confederate Army and it's significant victory over the Scottish Anglo-Irish Army under Robert Monro in June 1646 in Benburb, County Tyrone. 250 years before the Easter Rising of 1916.

Owen Roe is Buried in Cavan Town and in the war was based in Lismore castle nearby ...outside the town...some of which survives today...the monument to him is on the cavan town insignia
