I am a first time linux user and I just installed mine about days ago and all this games are way back when i was small how do you put all those game in my ps3 linux system
well done.... not like this is really that hard seeing it is running linux... haha i got my ds running this game so it shows how low power snes emus need !
the reason why its in the title is because everything you see here is done on a playstation 3 which is somewhat a different platform than the pc in 1995 ^^
im not so sure...ull have to look into that yourself but yes..that is indeed linux. YDL (yellow dog linux) is a fully functioning operation system and thats why its so popular on ps3. People enjoy having one system as their main hardware.
if you're using you're PS3 there is a way to use your Sixaxis controller to play the emulators. I dont know how yet because I just Dl'd and intalled TDL yesterdday
uralus i need some advice on how to set the prefrences correctly because every time i chose the rom an power it, it says something about my prefrences not being configured correct so if its not to much of ur time can u please give me some advice or post a video guide
reply as soon as u read this please..............thanks
I'm not explaining myself right. I know all about Yellowdog, OpenGL, Linux, and ect. And I do know that he has to run that Homebrewed software on his PS3 in order to run his emulator.
My problem is that I have yet to see a video of someone running an SNES emulator WITHOUT the aid of a computer. This guy is clearly using a computer because 1.) you see the mouse and 2.) you can even hear him "double click". Is it not possible to A.)Turn on your PS3 B.)Select your emulator and C.)Run it keeping in mind that your doing ALL of this with your SIXAXIS controller and NOT a mouse?
That's an awesome video for that game. Thanks for sharing it! If you like that game, I know you'll love Halo 3. I'm getting my copy of Halo 3 for free at halo3.wantsDOTit(replace DOT with .) I also get a free xbox 360 elite system.
Everyone better go get there copy for free too, before it's too late, at:
Dunno - Linux is problematic and programs often crash. Try with another USB port - if it doesnt help youll have to stick to the keyboard or buy a pc usb pad.
I'm using an old PC USB gamepad - you can even hear its crappy sound :). But if I remember well you can also use the Sixaxis only you have to connect it via USB.

I don't know if it has been done, but they surely wouldn't be 3D accelerated because you can't make use of the PS3 GPU with Linux on the PS3.

hey dumbass, you are using a usb mouse and keyboard, fore linux DOES NOT have drivers for the sixaxis
lainlives 4 years ago
But you can install the SIXAXIS drivers for Windows on Linux using a program like Wine or that other (I forgot what it's called).

linux is garbage, the browser sucks,it comes with no plugins.windows is way better.nice video thought.
shadowlaw809 4 years ago
your missing the point. linux is completely open source. meaning every part of it is a giant plugin to the person who knows how to use it.
