  • I love that sound

  • sounds damn good to me and i have the same truck. just an 05 model

  • i love the snap!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like a beast awsome

  • 5.9l?

  • @ThaMikeSkoola at the beginning he says 4.7 V8

  • best muffler i ever seen

  • @gypsyganksta it doesnt have a muffler

  • do you have to put the muffler and resonator back in to pass smog? Or do they just check for the cat?

  • just got mine today!!! how much did it cost to do it?

  • Hey im just wondering if there is remote starting on em stock or if it is unusual on em?

  • Are those 20 inch rims? What are the dimensions on your tires?

  • man, i got the same setup and it sounds exactly the same and i loveit!!

  • How tall are you? 5'4?

  • Nice sound. I had a 2003 ram 1500 with the 4.7L V8 with true straights and it was ungodly loud

  • what size pipe?

  • does a wide pipe make it louder cuz my small ass 2.5 inch straight pipe one my truck are quiet as hell

  • i gots to make my truck sound like this!!! i got the same thing!! jus '07, big horn and quad cab

    like button??.. yes, alot!!!!!

  • the Magnaflow muffler is a straight through design (which does almost the same thing as straight pipe). but you get enough back pressure. no back pressure = less torque. i have a Magnaflow SI/DO dumped behind the cab. sounds good and my truck is a torque monster! just a thought

  • hahaha! that is sweet! why does it crackle so loud? i took the mufflers off my ram and it doesnt crackle like that. is it because i dont have any pipes on it?

  • sounds friggin awesome! were you able to buy a Y pipe or is it custom made? thanks for your help

  • looser

  • @TheBessler1973 yo mom

  • damn that sounds good

  • man that thing sounds fuckin awsome!! and yea dont take the cats off and make it shitty, sounds badass as is.

  • a y-pipe isnt dual exhaust that splits from a single pipe duals is separate all the way from the headers

  • sounds fuckin mint, cool

  • sounds awesome

  • how long were the tips that you got? i got mine cut off right up under the cab and im bout to dual mine out similar to tht

  • need headers

  • BADASS!!!! I love this truck and the crackling. Sounds tight

  • i am planning on redoing the exhaust on my 2003 ram 2500 hemi. debating on doing this setup with the y pipe after the stock cat with no muffler out the rear or a FM 40 series. would doing the y pipe after the stock cat with no muffler do any harm to the truck at all?

  • @Daveh1219 Removing the muffler wil not bother the truck at all. IN fact, you could cut the pipe off right after the converter and nothing would happen. I work at a dodge dealer, and i promise you will be happier with the flowmaster vs straight pipes. Straight pipes sound cool the first day, but it will get on your nerves over time.

  • @caniwitech i wish that were true :( i had an old 85 jeep cherokee that i cut off after the cat and the backfires fried my valves, idk if it was just because it was an older model but im not about to try it on my 03 GC lol

  • @MrKomets20 There is no way that removing the pipe after the converter damaged your engine. I don;t know who or what told you your valves were burnt, but it had to be caused by something else. With the converter in place, the engine still has sufficient backpressure to run. ALso remember that a backfire is back through the intake, not exhaust, and is caused by incorect timing, incirect octane, or an overheating condition. The muffler's absence certainly cannot burn valves.

  • @caniwitech i assumed thats what caused it because 2,000 miles after i chopped it off my valves were roasted and i hadnt done any other modifications. oh well it doesnt really matter anymore i had the valves replaced and rolled it 4 times 2 months later :-/

  • @MrKomets20 Sorry to hear about the jeep, and i meant no offense. It may interest you to know however, that there is a tsb from chrysler for the vlaves in 4.0 engines. It seems they do not always rotate properly, and can stick, which can lead to a misfire, or a burnt valve. I would guess that is what happened in your case. Anyway, keep 'em loud, and getcha another Jeep!

  • @caniwitech oh none taken. live and learn right? i already got an 03 grand cherokee now, but ive been looking hard to find an old Jeep Commanche pickup to build up. If anyones knows of any let me know!

  • When it started up it sounded just like my 4.7l 2002 dodge durango when i straight piped it! That high crackling sound mine gave me made me get rid of it. Check out my vids sometime man!

  • i thought it was against the law to have no muffler

  • @lilcountryboy7

Only if you get caught haha

  • @mikeyhurt88 true that man haha, u live in illinois? it looks like u got an illinois plate, im down in clinton Illinois, i have a 96 1500 5.9 laramie slt.

    Nice truck.

  • @mikeyhurt88 best answer ever

  • @mikeyhurt88 well were i live in texas i live in williamson county and when you go get your trucked expected they check for that idk why they jsut do

  • @mikeyhurt88 Not in alabama :) No inspection!

  • @lilcountryboy7 you rarely get bothered for that, atleast where im from in florida.

  • @lilcountryboy7 I've ran my 06 Dodge 4.7 with true duals for 2 years without mufflers and you'll get caught if your revving your engine going through downtown but you just got to know when to let off of it. I would suggest that you keep an exhaust on any vehicle so you don't loose your back pressure.....That's why I'm putting either a flowmaster or magnaflow exhaust on it.

  • @lilcountryboy7 well dependin g where you are but usually it's only illegal to cut your cat out but if you have your muffler out at its stupid loud then you just get hit with excessive noise or how ever they want to word it, i was stopped by the mto they were doing routine checks and i have my cat and muffler cut out of my diesel and you know when a diesel has no cat all you can hear is turbo lol they didnt do anything i was suprised

  • @lilcountryboy7 IF IT WERNT ID HAVE THEM. CHECK OUT MY TRUCK ON MY VIDEOS IF YOUD LIKE

  • @lilcountryboy7 All cars now have electronically controlled engines sooo the computer reads how much out put of emissions u have. If u take off the Cats(usually mufflers go off too) then ur emissions increase. Its like Viagra from ur exhaust. But u can program ur computer to say 87 Octane or 8.07 emission rate instead of the 100.9 emission rate that u would have WTIH OUT ur muffler or cats

  • @lilcountryboy7

maybe where you're from, lil cunt tree boy.

  • @lilcountryboy7 Its not against the law but if its too loud a cop can pull you over and give you a ticket for noise violation or something like that. Most states its illegal to have no cat if you vehicle came with one.

  • that bitch sounds good man

  • Goddamn that's a 4.7? That sounds fuckin badass man!

  • added as favorite sounds great.

  • Take the Cat out pussy!

  • @1999RMK

I'd rather not have my check engine light on all the time

  • @mikeyhurt88 i hear ya, i got an 02 durango with the 4.7, and i got a super 44 flowmaster on now, i wanna take the converter out but dont wanna F up my car, there is a bypass but i dont think its worth the effort? i straight piped mine and it had a nasty crackle but was loud as hell! any ideas how to get rid of the crackling and a lil bit of the popping? i got a vid up if ya wanna hear it

  • @mikeyhurt88 you do know that you can get it reprogramed so it thinks there is still a cat there

  • you can take the sensors out.... @mikeyhurt88

  • @mikeyhurt88 If you got no mufflers, then i'd leave the cat on just for back pressure non the less this sounds pretty loud! not a big fan of that crackling though. you should run 3 inch pipes if you ever get the chance or money man! nice truck!

  • my cats are off and all u have to do is put the o2 sensors back in and it wont come on...

  • @mikeyhurt88 black tape over it!

  • @mikeyhurt88 just drill and thread for the 02 senser long as you have it in the pipe i shouldnt casue issues,

  • @mikeyhurt88 CEL can be shut off with a custom tune, which could also adjust the A/F ratio to prevent the power loss from removing cats, but its better to run cats ( stock of hi-flow ) to stay legal and be able to breath near it idling.

  • @mikeyhurt88 True I took my cat off and my check engine light stayed on but if you would've got pipe with an O2 hook-up it should've been fine my buddy did it to his truck.

  • @mikeyhurt88 True I took my cat off and my check engine light stayed on but if you would've got pipe with an O2 hook-up it should've been fine my buddy did it to his truck.

  • @mikeyhurt88 plus its loud enough... its loud reving up its alot louder driving, i had a 96 dodge with a 360 straight pipe an a gutted cat it was insanely loud, nice truck but gay rims

  • @mikeyhurt88 thats what o2 simulators are for

  • @mikeyhurt88 Clear the code?

  • @mikeyhurt88 Get an o2 eliminator.

  • do u have tips on the pipes or no

  • @furywarrior08 i think he said stainless steel tips around :11

  • being a 2002 model this truck is either a 360 or a 4.7L, judging from the sound id say its a 360.

  • @KentuckyThunder1863 it says its a 4.7L at 0:01

  • @junkyardmop the video didn't play and I skipped ahead hoping it would work. I didn't see the beginning.

  • haha

  • ur an idiot

  • wow, aint you everyone's hero for proclaiming that. I didn't see the beginning of the video asswipe, piss off.

  • you know nothing about dodge trucks.

    a 4.7L is 282 c.i. and a 360 c.i. is a 5.9L

    HUGE DIFFERANCE!!!!!

    HUGE I TELL YOU!!!

    Fuckin dumbass

  • I know, I own 3 dodges. I suggest you find something better to do than try to correct me and call me a dumbass 2 months after I commented. You can piss off and try to go out and buy a life.

  • 5.7 still smokes both so it doesnt matter

  • @mallow399 well a 5.7 is this but bigger, so of course it would beat this! its like you now or you on steroids? who's more powerful? lol I love the sound of a nice dodge though!!

  • @der1488 a 4.7 is 287 c.i.

  • @Fr0zenChr0me 286.811

  • that sounds freaking awsome

  • but naturally the all-mighty Law is against this beauty.

    "small children can´t sleep" BULLSHIT!

    GO LOUD OR STAY HOME!

  • i just creamed my pants

  • Fucking right best sound you can ever get from your truck is taking off that muffler....especially on a Hemi V8.....sounds awesome man you should put some high flow cats on it to minimize the crackling at high rpm's

  • O and Mopar360ii has no idea what a 4.7 is cuz its a v8. Get some smarter people on here please.

  • DodgeRamFan11...if you were really a dodge ram fan you would know that a 4.7 isnt "just the flex-fuel bullshit." I have an 05 4.7 and it is NOT flex fuel. thanks. good day.

  • Did you sell this bad boy azz`

  • cherry bombs just a run through with fiber glass. it wont make it quieter. just give it a different tone

  • take those damn windchimes down....they are f***ing annoying lol...idk how you can stand them! The only chime youd hear if i had to listen to those would be me ripping the f****ers down lol!

  • Do you still have it?

    where are you located

  • do the tips make a big difference in the sound?

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • needs a muffler...cherry bomb

  • Sounds really good!

  • can you get the 4.7 w/ a stick?

  • sounds great bud

  • i thought the 4.7 was a v6 ?

  • thats 3.7l

  • thats a 5.7L

  • it is

  • the 4.7 is a v-8 but its just the flex-fuel bullshit

  • I'm calling BS. i have an 05 Ram with the 287 and it's not flex fuel.

  • did you gut the cat or is it the stock one?

  • dude i know ur selling it but put a dynomax bullet on it or something!

  • that sounds awesome!

  • Sounds fucking awesome

  • dont you know straight pipes ARENT illegal if you still have cats

  • it depends where you live.. by me cops can bust you for it being too loud whether it has cats or not. but it differs throughout the country

  • cherry bombs are as loud. harley davidson is much louder...

  • its not like a cop will pull you over. it wont pass the emissions test is all...

  • you are gay afresh

  • your truck sounds badass.

  • I want your truck.

  • hell yeah cut them cats off and get you a dixie horn thats how i roll i love that crackle of some straight pipes

  • Dodge>ford,toyota,gm

  • sounds bad ass man

  • dont bother with a cherry bom, did it, not that happy with it! to get that wrapping soun you will need to remove the cat for sure, not really worth it dude!

  • ya, i have heard that for sure! good ol chevy's, nothin like a small block with open headers hey? but did you use the resonator on the dakota?

  • that sound really GOOD! i have a 2001 Dakota, did you use the resonator or right off the cat? i want that same sound! please reply, thanx!

  • You should hear Straight Pipes on a 97 GMC Sierra with V8 350. Thats a nice sounding truck.

  • Aint nothing like the sound of a Dodge

  • how high on rpms does it crackle

  • 10k for a 2002 dodge ram single cab, good luck lmao, consdering it's only worth about 5grand in excellent condition with around 70-80k miles.

  • and now ur selling it. lol

  • ok wait all you did was run straight pipes from what NO AFTERMARKET EHXAUST??? that sounds pretty nice can somone explain how i can do this thanks!!!!!

  • aftermarket from cat to the back, no muffler

  • sounds awesome man! im debating weather or not i should straight pipe mine or run a cherry bomb extreme

  • straight pipe it man, it gives it a deeper sound. I have a thrush glasspack it it cant even compare to the straight pipes

  • Comment removed

  • owned by the door

  • are those the stock cats in there?

  • beautiful car!get my one in 2 months!

  • i like it and fuck everbody that dont lol

  • unlock the door before you start the video next time dipshit

  • are you kidding me!!??? why the fuck would you insult him for not unlocking the door!!?? you angry fuck, go die if thats how you operate.

  • sounds like a tractor......

  • those wind chimes are creepy as hell lol.

    But good soundin truck

  • I've got the same setup except a turndown after the rear axle by the spare tire. Sounds similar but a lot more vibration of the road. Sets off plenty of car alarms.

  • clappy clappy.

shift from second gear to first and give gas when you do going about 30-35 mph and it will clap so hard and loud

  • You need to get you a little S10 Mr. Frodo :)

  • Sweet wind chimes.

  • you should cut your cats off. i have the same truck with it done to mine and is quite loud. not the greatest tone but people will hear you coming.

  • i have a 06 ram 1500 3.7L V6 that i am about to put a Y-pipe on and then straight pipe it after the catalytic converters. what size pipes should i get ? 3" or 4" ? and do stainless steel exhaust tips make any difference to the sound or are just for looks ?

  • id say 3

  • yea i think i'm goning to get 3" bc i dont wanna lose too much back pressure with it being a V6 n all... i'll have it go out each side before my rear tires with chrome tips. then comes short ram intake n JET stage1 chip. hahaha its single cab n i just put three 12's in it

  • ha nice

the chrome tips dont make them sound any different.

short ram intake has a unique sound

  • the smaller the pipes the louder

stainless steel tips wont rust so i got stainless steel

  • most tips are 409 and will still gather surface rust because they have more mild steel than 304. That's the Stainless to get.

Straights aren't clean enough sounding for my preference. Still very Raw sounding. sounds like you have either a glass pack or no muffler. Of course you have no muffler..lol

  • ya sounds good man i hve 95 360 w-out cats it is bad ass

  • how do u think it will sound on a 5.7?

  • I liked the idle rumble, but when you reved it, it sounded like those stupid ricer mufflers...sorry

  • what kind pipes bro?

  • i have the same setup, what makes yours so fucking loud? lol

  • I don't know man. I know crap when it comes to exhaust and I just told them I wanted it as loud as I could have it without cutting off the cat. So they just put on a Y-pipe cut off my muffler and ran the pipes straight out the back. Thats all I know

  • sounds like wind-chimes

  • yeah I was hoping those wouldn't be heard but oh well

  • That sounds good. I like when the tips come straight out of the back rather than going out each side.

  • same here

  • so would it be louder without the cat converter or with the converter

  • it technically would be louder without the cat.. the cat is quite restrictive even tho that isnnt its main purpose

  • It would be way louder without the cat. I had a 95 Ram before I got this one and I had the cat cut off with the same setup on here after that and it was bad ass but the cops don't tend to like it at night. I would have done it with this truck too but they said my service engine light would stay on all the time.

  • damn your sounds so nice!!!!!.... come check mine out and tell me what you think i have the same truck and same setup!!

  • No mistaking a 4.7!

  • some of the 5.9s sound like that and 02 was the only new body style you could get a 5.9

  • Yup, Chrysler phased them out, used the last of the 5.9's they had, & stuffed them into a few 02' trucks.

I have been driving mopars since 91 & have owned numerous trucks... 4.7's 5.2's & 5.9's & never have I heard a 4.7 that sounded like a 5.9............But they are all mopar, they all sound bad ass, so its all good!

  • so do u have the cats on?
