that not any great les paul. its just a les paul studio. red and black wood grain shoing was the cheapest 1. that the gibson everybodie has. just look at the bell that covers the nut at the head of the guitar it sais studio
@theshyguitarist it can be... you can have standard D tuning... so all the strings are dropped by a full step, not just the top E string. its just basically standard E a full tone down.
wat i got to say with the les paul and shechter is that there bolth amazing guitars but there bolth are only ment for one thing schechter is like avenged sevenfold metal and trhe les paul is like for slash rock i own bolth guitars and i think there bolth amazing
@Xidkwhat2callmyselfX agreed if your going to make a video about GUITARS AND TONE then you really need a good way to record whether its mic , shure 57 my favourite or direct input into a computer
@Leatherlog1 you pay more money to gibson because they are made in america and im not sure but when les paul was alive he was getting a slice of the money..... schecters on the other hand are made in south korea with much cheaper labour but you cant really compare the 2 i personally like the schecter hellraiser than a les paul that i played that was 3 times the price
@jayrjerome1 i got myself schecter hellraiser C-1 FR after doing some research and the guy on the phone said its gonna take 3-4 months <.< ahh mann XD
@halofreak1180 And in my opinion I disagree. I'm lucky (or enjoy guitars enough :P) to own both a Schecter and a Gibson Explorer. Both are amazing, and Gibson truly aren't as bad as you make out. I'd happily pay the price and some more for my Explorer again.
Having played for almost 19 years and owned both instruments a few times I've got to go with a SOLO 6 Hellraiser. I'm a big fan of a single cut guitar, and there is no doubt of the LP's influence on music, but the Solo 6 has a beautiful top, hot pickups with coil tapping capability, the slightly longer scale length makes cording and soloing easier and for a foreign made instrument their attention to detail is easily as good as anything that's came out of Nashville.

i have actually owned both of these guitars twice. bottom line for me is that the schecter is a gorgeous and easy to play instrument. for me, however, when i plug them both into a tube amp, the gibson blows schecter away. i kept changing because everyone hated the way the faded cherry looked. so, after buying this one the second time, i saved my money and bought a LP standard Gold Top. if you can swing the money for a gibby go with it. you wont be sorry.

@Longhorn959 because, my friend, the floyd rose bridge was made not only for a tremelo but to adjust to your palm making it easier to pick and mute at the same time. thats why when your in a metal band you usually want to get a guitar with a floyd rose bridge. k?

@xxninpiggyxx actually he's comparing Gibsons to Schecters RETARD. He only fails at two things: pickups and bridge choice. With passive pickups vs. Active pickups, that difference will predominate regardless of brand. Also, Floyd Rose vs. Stopbar Tailpiece will give different sounds regardless of brand. Other than that, good job mate.
I know, rite? i have personally played a schechter hellraiser and a hellcat, and they have to be the most badass metal guitars i have ever laid hands on. you can get some seriously sick sounds out of one.
Unfinished guitars sound better, just ask Eddie Van Halen. Thick necks sound better and to me they feel better. I wish Gibson had v necks though. I would take off the pickup plates if I were you. The pups will sound higher output and a little more gainy.
Well, I intend to get a Hagstrom for the sound, and also a Schecter Devil for the looks (love those horns). But what my audiences like best is Teiscos (go figure) and you can pick up a good one of those for under $200.
I know everybody is going to hate me, but I prefer the Gibson (and I have no committment to Gibsons). Dirty it doesn't have the growl of the Schecter but I think it's a better sound. Clean I think it sounds much, much sweeter. I think the Schecter sounds like a cheap guitar. And - I wasn't watching the vid or listening to what the guy was saying - so I didn't know really which sound was which guitar till later.
@felixnoir Think twice.Schecter xxx $ and Gibson xxxx $.If you have xxxx $ then for shure buy Gibson, but Schecter is WAY CHEAPER and WERY GOOD alternative for the price. One of the best price/quality relations .With Gibson you pay a lot of cash just for GIBSON layer.Schecter iMO win.
I've got the Hellraiser without the floyd rose. Very happy with it. The guitar has a little more "growl" than the les paul and up and down slides on the E string are truly delicious. Very nice instrument for the money. BTW, Hellraiser has a set neck, not neck through. Your right about easy access to the upper frets too. A lot of guys don't know, but a 24 fret neck just gives you easier access up to D (fret 22) which is as high as you'll probably ever really go.
would u say its quality is better then gibson? have an ibanez prestige, thinking of a great 2nd guitar, nothing seems to be better then hellraiser..dunno bout gibson, made in u.s. but i hear the quality is quite low these days and the hell raiser with its mahagony and maple top seems to be a steal for the price, would u recommend it?
I would totally recommend the Schecter over the Gibson any day. Gibsons are overpriced. Plus the shecter can do anything that gibson can do....but better.....and for half the price. Trust me...I own a Gibson Les Paul and a Schecter C-1. My C-1 Destroys my Les Paul in tone, sustain, and playability. They are definitely NOT cheap quality, I would gladly recommend Schecter over Gibson and definitely Ibanez any day.
I'm actually purchasing the hellraiser in a month or two, as soon as i have the money of course. Can't wait to dive bomb on that sucker. I really like the headstock on the schecter.
All of this is extreamly biased and if youre going to buy either of these guitars you need to go test play one first and get a feel for it before you decide to buy it anyways...
I play a lot of hardcore and metal and I own both of these guitars (my schecter is an 006 hellraiser not a c-1...same shit though). Anyway...I'd deff. have to say that the Gibson is better...By a long shot for sure. The Schecter is a nice guitar dont get me wrong but the Burstbuckers in that Gibson blow those EMGs out of the water...they have better low end response and sound WAY less muddy.
From what I see, you have a Damien, which is nowhere near the quality of the C-1 Hellraiser. But I agree with the EMG's, that's why I switched to Seymour Duncan Blackouts
They are NOT the "same shit" at all. Read the reviews of the 006 Hellraiser, compared to what this guy is testing out, the Hellraiser C-1 FR. You'll realize it's not the same, and according to your videos, you have a Damien, not an 006.
8 months after I commented on this video, I stumbled upon it once again. And still, I think the Schecter owns that type of Gibson in looks, sound and feel.
That's a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Vintage Mahogany finish: here the word "vintage" is referred to the colour of the guitar. The "Les Paul Vintage model" doesn't exist :)
does any one know where i could get this guitar in canada? i dont want to but it of the internet because ive read that you have to check guitars in person because thier manufacturing is sub par on some of the guitars.
Musicians Fried and Guitar Center it is discontinued, GIBSON VINTAGE MAHOGANY LES PAUL retails at $999 it is a different guitar if you see the $799 Faded Les Paul different pickups and different top.
But a few websites do have the GIBSON VINTAGE MAHOGANY LES PAUL in stock I think SweetWater had it in stock.
No problem, I was stunned too, its a well made guitar and a very good price. Gibson has a new line of Les Pauls coming out made with Pine necks and bodies. Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power $1100 I don't know much about them though.
oh my bad here is the write up on them. a solid maple body to match its traditional maple top, resulting in a more articulate, bright tone. A maple fingerboard gives each played note a snappier response. A pair of Gibson's renowned '57 Classic pickups provides all the clear punch and muscle of those legendary "PAFs." There's also a new palette of satin finish colors to choose from: White, Blue/Platinum, Transparent Ebony, and Natural.
yes. the schecter c-1, c-1 fr, c-7, and c-7 fr are all avilable left hannded (only in he black cherry, which is a georgeous finish) along with i belive about 50 shecter models.
Yeah lol im actually getting mine like right now at guitasr center im a lefty too its only like 799 bucks and its a lot nicer than the vintage gibson. If u get a gibson get a good one the vintage mahogany is ok but the hellraiser is nicer in my oppinion by a mile than the vintage worn finished lp's
it's a schecter c-1 hellraiser, not a mexican strat. even though the schectr was made in south korea, it has a much better sound quality thatn any les paul studio.
epiphone are comparable to mexi strat ... .not LPs.... this vintage LP isnt a typical stuido... its not with 490's but with burstbucker... smae as on 3000 standard... so yeah... that makes for a fucking sick ass sound. however, it does depend on what you play.
I play mine through a line 6 pod direct into our bands pa system.I recentley got a Peavey valve amp and the les paul is unusable through it! Because of the hollowed out/chambered body on this guitar it just vibrates uncontrolably at higher volumes. I have tried it through different amps and i have also tried a second guitar the same and that does it as well. Its a shame cos i love the look and feel of this guitar but it is useless at high volumes.Anyone else had this problem?
honestly from this setup i would pick the les paul. i have played about every brand and every model of guitars cause i like to shop around and i love schecters but if you are going to get one the c-1 is not the way to go get a damien, tempest or a hellraiser avenger, or a synyster custom.
How about because Gibson Les Pauls have been used by the greatest guitarists of all time? No? How about the lifetime warranty with every Gibson guitar you purchase from a lifetime dealer? Gah nevermind, what do i know...just a bunch of gibberish...
It doesn't matter who has used it. That's just rediculous. Gibson is a dying brand; only the bull-headed stubborn right wing are buying Gibson guitars. If you want a good guitar for a good price you'd be better off with anything other than a Gibson.
That's what i'm sayin...The Les Paul is meant for GOOD music...not thrash and shred...so obviously all those assholes hate on the Les Paul because they can't sound like fuckin satriani on it...
Why would you want to sound like satriani? He's a bitch compared to all of the neo-classical dudes. Jason Becker, Matthew Mills, Michael Romeo, Rob Marcello, Yngwie, hell I'd rather even play like Syn Gates who isn't even as widely overrated as Satriani.
well i actually agree with A7XHellBlaze down there. Id deffinatley go with the hellraiser. the only thing better with the gibson vintage and a lot of the other gibsons is the pick-up knob is located in a better better place for easy acess while playin.
I've played the sg for $700 the lp is $850, the sg reminds me a lot of my mexican strat the only difference being that on my strat I've got a tremolo and the sg doesn't, also the $300 difference; I don't know anything about the lp but I want to get one. I'm a bit biased on the sg though, really not that big of a fan GO FOR THE GIBSON EXPLORER PRO
Haha, why on earth would you pick the Vintage over the Hellraiser. Is it because it's a Gibson? Because from what I just heard, the Hellraiser has more of a meaty sound, the Gibson is just overpriced crap, haha.
haha I think the Vintage is still overpriced for what you are getting. The finish is not even smooth so you can't do fast solos. But whoever is reading this this is the overall scoop:
If you want a fast neck, nice smooth finish, killer looks, and a screamish metal tone, go with the Hellraiser. If you are more of a classic rock fan, one that likes bluesy tones, a rough natural wood feel, and a retro look, go with the vintage.
False. I've played this guitar as well as the special faded sg [which I own] and both I have no trouble reaching the higher frets and soloing. From songs by A7X, to songs by ACDC, they play great.
Plus I got covers on my special faded SG and it's PRETTTTTTTTTTTY
I myself own the sg special faded, and it is great. There is NO problem reaching any of the frets. And while the les paul feels great and sounds great, it is harder in my opinion to play on the higher frets because of the shape of the body, blocking you from getting your hand around to the frets as comfortably as possible.
Actually I had enough money for a Gibson and I still do. A Les Paul Studio is just a couple hundred difference. But why would I want a super heavy guitar that everyone has when I can get a better looking, better feeling one that suits my style? My choices were an American made Fender Strat, a Gibson SG, or a Schecter, I chose what suits me best, so don't say anything that you can't back up.
Ehhh, considering the way they build guitars now... they are overpriced in a lot of cases. Especially the cheaper ones. Due to quality control issues, buying a Gibson online is stupid because you could get one that plays worse than an epiphone. Basically, until you get into the really good stuff with Gibson, there are better deals for your money you can get.
he's absolutely right. Gibson's only care about their most expensive guitars. The cheaper the Gibson the worse.
Schecters are just the best guitar in the area. They are loud, heavy and cheap. Well cheaper than a Gibson. I used to hate schecter. But it appears that the american companies are getting cocky. Just like the Car companies, quality goes down, Americans will buy somewhere else.
Have you had to have a set-up done on your vintage mahogany? I have spent hours trying to get mine right. There is buzzing on a lot of frets and I am planning on bringing it to a warranty service center to have them take a look at it. I think there is a high fret or the neck set too high. I have adjusted the bridge and the truss rod every possible way after a string change.
this LP has burstbucker pro pick ups right?? if it is a studio model, why does it have the same pick ups that the LP standard has??? and could any1 tell me the main sound differences between this pick ups, and the 490R anf 498T (the LP studio pick ups)??
Burstbuckers sounds more clear than bluesy kind of tone. While 490R and 498T sounds quite moody if compared. I think Burstbuckers took place on this guitar after they decided to put carved mahogany on the top. It gives moody color to the sound so Burstbuckers compensate that.
A couple things, the schecter is not neck-thru, it's a set neck with "ultra access". Also, the only epiphone les paul with a bolt on neck is the special II, which is the cheapest les paul you can buy. Other than that they're both great guitars. I own the les paul and i'm looking to add the hellraiser to my rig in a few months.
Not true, I own a Epiphone Les Paul Studio Goth (with EMG pickups =p) and it has a bolt on neck. As well an Epiphone SG Special Goth which also has a bolt on neck
Dude if your guitars are bolt on then their the epiphone special models not the goth. BTW if you SG has only 1 screw in the back then its a strap button and Goth Les pauls shouldnt have any screws in the back so if it does then its not the goth model.
And bought a Gibson LP Vintage. The Schecter was a nice piece, but im sorry to say fellas the Gibson blows it away! If you dont use a trem the GLPVM is MUCH better!! Not to mention the value of the schecter is going down every month!!! no joke.
bullcrap. schecter is way better. much better quality for a lower price. u get the ultra-access neck joint for better solos, screaming active EMGs, and a floyd rose. Gibson is way overrated. Not much special about it. You can get better sounds outta the schecter
Well in a way. But dont diss it because its over priced and you cant afford it. You have to tell yourself whatyou got is better, does not MAKE it better. Personally I like the necks on Schecters, not the metal look of them, and I hate EMGs. So...I think they should make a Pure red schecter with DIRTYFINGER HUMBUCKERS!
Depends on what tone you want. The LP VM is all mahogany and won't sound quite the same as a Les Paul with a mahogany body and maple top. Try them out and see which tone you like more.

All of this is extreamly biased and if youre going to buy either of these guitars you need to go test play one first and get a feel for it before you decide to buy it anyways...
TheJoeMan37664 2 years ago 3
I play a lot of hardcore and metal and I own both of these guitars (my schecter is an 006 hellraiser not a c-1...same shit though). Anyway...I'd deff. have to say that the Gibson is better...By a long shot for sure. The Schecter is a nice guitar dont get me wrong but the Burstbuckers in that Gibson blow those EMGs out of the water...they have better low end response and sound WAY less muddy.
ActApalled0 2 years ago
From what I see, you have a Damien, which is nowhere near the quality of the C-1 Hellraiser. But I agree with the EMG's, that's why I switched to Seymour Duncan Blackouts
A7XHellBlaze 2 years ago
They are NOT the "same shit" at all. Read the reviews of the 006 Hellraiser, compared to what this guy is testing out, the Hellraiser C-1 FR. You'll realize it's not the same, and according to your videos, you have a Damien, not an 006.
ZackySyn666 2 years ago
I just got the 006 the other day..Havent had a chance to post a video of it yet. Get outa my ass.
ActApalled0 2 years ago 2
8 months after I commented on this video, I stumbled upon it once again. And still, I think the Schecter owns that type of Gibson in looks, sound and feel.

That's a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Vintage Mahogany finish: here the word "vintage" is referred to the colour of the guitar. The "Les Paul Vintage model" doesn't exist :)

So the les paul or the schecter? Which one is better?

GIBSON VINTAGE MAHOGANY LES PAUL great guitar and discontinued! But you can find them on ebay for a fair price.
BurstBucker Pro Alnico V pickups are crazy!! I love mine and would not sell EVER! I would sell my gold before I sold this guitar!
DethAng3l 2 years ago
No, they're not.
ItzAmazingBrian 2 years ago
Musicians Fried and Guitar Center it is discontinued, GIBSON VINTAGE MAHOGANY LES PAUL retails at $999 it is a different guitar if you see the $799 Faded Les Paul different pickups and different top.
But a few websites do have the GIBSON VINTAGE MAHOGANY LES PAUL in stock I think SweetWater had it in stock.
DethAng3l 2 years ago
Ah, I see, I figured that they just put them in the les paul studio page. I thought they were the same since they are the same colors.
ItzAmazingBrian 2 years ago
No problem, I was stunned too, its a well made guitar and a very good price. Gibson has a new line of Les Pauls coming out made with Pine necks and bodies. Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power $1100 I don't know much about them though.
DethAng3l 2 years ago
oh my bad here is the write up on them. a solid maple body to match its traditional maple top, resulting in a more articulate, bright tone.

The original Hellraiser is the best. The tappable EMGs just doesn't have that quiet/distinctive EMG metal crunch.

can the schecter come lh ?
WeaRTheD 2 years ago
yes. the schecter c-1, c-1 fr, c-7, and c-7 fr are all avilable left hannded (only in he black cherry, which is a georgeous finish) along with i belive about 50 shecter models.
greeneyesj17362 2 years ago
Yeah lol im actually getting mine like right now at guitasr center im a lefty too its only like 799 bucks and its a lot nicer than the vintage gibson. If u get a gibson get a good one the vintage mahogany is ok but the hellraiser is nicer in my oppinion by a mile than the vintage worn finished lp's
hiian123 2 years ago
well how would you compare a low end LP to a mexican strat?
jonafun516 2 years ago
it's a schecter c-1 hellraiser, not a mexican strat. even though the schectr was made in south korea, it has a much better sound quality thatn any les paul studio.
greeneyesj17362 2 years ago
epiphone are comparable to mexi strat ... .not LPs.... this vintage LP isnt a typical stuido... its not with 490's but with burstbucker... smae as on 3000 standard... so yeah... that makes for a fucking sick ass sound. however, it does depend on what you play.

Its a shame cos i love the look and feel of this guitar but it is useless at high volumes.Anyone else had this problem?
retrospectlive 3 years ago
honestly from this setup i would pick the les paul. i have played about every brand and every model of guitars cause i like to shop around and i love schecters but if you are going to get one the c-1 is not the way to go get a damien, tempest or a hellraiser avenger, or a synyster custom.
jamesstrickland4 3 years ago
maybe you should check out the schecter c-1 classic

givemeurtots 3 years ago
How about because Gibson Les Pauls have been used by the greatest guitarists of all time? No? How about the lifetime warranty with every Gibson guitar you purchase from a lifetime dealer? Gah nevermind, what do i know...just a bunch of gibberish...
nick12345567890 3 years ago
It doesn't matter who has used it. That's just rediculous. Gibson is a dying brand; only the bull-headed stubborn right wing are buying Gibson guitars. If you want a good guitar for a good price you'd be better off with anything other than a Gibson.
jairic 3 years ago
Lemme guess, you play shred and black death metal right?

THE POSER MUSIC! people who wish they could play guitar play that shit.
Jediswordfighter 3 years ago
That's what i'm sayin...The Les Paul is meant for GOOD music...not thrash and shred...so obviously all those assholes hate on the Les Paul because they can't sound like fuckin satriani on it...
nick12345567890 3 years ago
Why would you want to sound like satriani? He's a bitch compared to all of the neo-classical dudes. Jason Becker, Matthew Mills, Michael Romeo, Rob Marcello, Yngwie, hell I'd rather even play like Syn Gates who isn't even as widely overrated as Satriani.

less than 1000 dollars are guitar center for the Les Paul is an amazing deal.
Especially with the Burstbucker pro humbuckers, they scream with a warmth and clarity, and a body that holds sustain for as long as you need.
It also comes with a Hardshell case made by gibson, so you're definately getting your money's worth and more.
Honestly, i'll end up buying two of these, one to keep as is, and i'll end up finishing the other in a sunburst finish of my choice.

well i actually agree with A7XHellBlaze down there. Id deffinatley go with the hellraiser. the only thing better with the gibson vintage and a lot of the other gibsons is the pick-up knob is located in a better better place for easy acess while playin.
Dubby1031 3 years ago 2
i would defenetly say the les paul
polky495 3 years ago
wats better this les paul or the faded sg special(gibson of course) for the same price?
metalhead142 3 years ago
I've played the sg for $700 the lp is $850, the sg reminds me a lot of my mexican strat the only difference being that on my strat I've got a tremolo and the sg doesn't, also the $300 difference; I don't know anything about the lp but I want to get one. I'm a bit biased on the sg though, really not that big of a fan GO FOR THE GIBSON EXPLORER PRO
savinmeagain 3 years ago
dude hellraiser all the way totally jw but how much does a hellraiser cost?
ozzman9293 3 years ago
Hellraiser C-1 FR cost 850.
A regular C-1 FR is like 600 or something.
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago
Haha, why on earth would you pick the Vintage over the Hellraiser. Is it because it's a Gibson? Because from what I just heard, the Hellraiser has more of a meaty sound, the Gibson is just overpriced crap, haha.
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago
actually, the gibson les paul vintage mahogany cost less that a studio. i think the hellraiser and vintage mahogany are fairly close in price
mcmuffin300 3 years ago
haha I think the Vintage is still overpriced for what you are getting.
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago 3
False. I've played this guitar as well as the special faded sg [which I own] and both I have no trouble reaching the higher frets and soloing. From songs by A7X, to songs by ACDC, they play great.
Plus I got covers on my special faded SG and it's PRETTTTTTTTTTTY
Londonator10 3 years ago
I myself own the sg special faded, and it is great. There is NO problem reaching any of the frets. And while the les paul feels great and sounds great, it is harder in my opinion to play on the higher frets because of the shape of the body, blocking you from getting your hand around to the frets as comfortably as possible.
777sean0123456789 3 years ago
I agree, The Les Paul is more for the kind of upper fret solo (bluesy). While an SG could do shreding or crazy arpegios
Jediswordfighter 3 years ago
Dude you just say Gibson is overpriced because mommy and daddy can't buy you one and your allowance isn't enough to buy yourself one
slammer8731 3 years ago
Actually I had enough money for a Gibson and I still do. A Les Paul Studio is just a couple hundred difference. But why would I want a super heavy guitar that everyone has when I can get a better looking, better feeling one that suits my style? My choices were an American made Fender Strat, a Gibson SG, or a Schecter, I chose what suits me best, so don't say anything that you can't back up.
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago 2
Ehhh, considering the way they build guitars now... they are overpriced in a lot of cases. Especially the cheaper ones. Due to quality control issues, buying a Gibson online is stupid because you could get one that plays worse than an epiphone. Basically, until you get into the really good stuff with Gibson, there are better deals for your money you can get.
xHighPotencyx 3 years ago 4
he's absolutely right.
Davenport5678 3 years ago
Have you had to have a set-up done on your vintage mahogany? I have spent hours trying to get mine right. There is buzzing on a lot of frets and I am planning on bringing it to a warranty service center to have them take a look at it. I think there is a high fret or the neck set too high. I have adjusted the bridge and the truss rod every possible way after a string change.

this LP has burstbucker pro pick ups right?? if it is a studio model, why does it have the same pick ups that the LP standard has??? and could any1 tell me the main sound differences between this pick ups, and the 490R anf 498T (the LP studio pick ups)??
bleison1 3 years ago
Burstbuckers sounds more clear than bluesy kind of tone. While 490R and 498T sounds quite moody if compared. I think Burstbuckers took place on this guitar after they decided to put carved mahogany on the top. It gives moody color to the sound so Burstbuckers compensate that.

HELLRAISER!!!!!!!!!!
yoda307 3 years ago
A couple things, the schecter is not neck-thru, it's a set neck with "ultra access". Also, the only epiphone les paul with a bolt on neck is the special II, which is the cheapest les paul you can buy. Other than that they're both great guitars. I own the les paul and i'm looking to add the hellraiser to my rig in a few months.
xHighPotencyx 3 years ago
Not true, I own a Epiphone Les Paul Studio Goth (with EMG pickups =p) and it has a bolt on neck. As well an Epiphone SG Special Goth which also has a bolt on neck
slammer8731 3 years ago
Are yours an older model? Both of those guitars are listed as having set necks now...
xHighPotencyx 3 years ago
He is probably saying about strap buttons.
Smartboxx2 3 years ago
Les pauls don't have buttons on the neck.
xHighPotencyx 3 years ago
maybe he just has some of the cheaper epiphone bolt on models (epi sg special, epi les paul special) and says their goth cause their black.
XDearxxDiaryX 3 years ago
Dude if your guitars are bolt on then their the epiphone special models not the goth. BTW if you SG has only 1 screw in the back then its a strap button and Goth Les pauls shouldnt have any screws in the back so if it does then its not the goth model.
XDearxxDiaryX 3 years ago
Ok let me clarifications my goth SG is a special which is a bolt on but when I rechecked the les paul its a set neck.
slammer8731 3 years ago
I just sold my Schecter Hellraiser C1-FR today!!
And bought a Gibson LP Vintage. The Schecter was a nice piece, but im sorry to say fellas the Gibson blows it away! If you dont use a trem the GLPVM is MUCH better!! Not to mention the value of the schecter is going down every month!!! no joke.
musicguygonefishing 3 years ago
bullcrap. schecter is way better. much better quality for a lower price. u get the ultra-access neck joint for better solos, screaming active EMGs, and a floyd rose. Gibson is way overrated. Not much special about it. You can get better sounds outta the schecter
GibsonRox4ever 3 years ago
Well in a way. But dont diss it because its over priced and you cant afford it. You have to tell yourself whatyou got is better, does not MAKE it better. Personally I like the necks on Schecters, not the metal look of them, and I hate EMGs. So...I think they should make a Pure red schecter with DIRTYFINGER HUMBUCKERS!

Depends on what tone you want. The LP VM is all mahogany and won't sound quite the same as a Les Paul with a mahogany body and maple top. Try them out and see which tone you like more.
