i know how to over come this.
but i have a question for you first.
When you turn on your ps3, does it have a list of whose name you want to go under?
and does it go to a specific name like i have it. (not auto sign-in)

Thanks alot anyway bro but I just fixed it yesterday. I had to reboot the file. I called up the Sony help line and he couldn't figure it out so I was gonna have to send it in for $150 and wait 3 weeks. Fixed it myself lol.

oh, but what i was going to say was to watch a xmb and where the setting are and stuff.
ect. turn on ps3
press x to go under name.
it would bring you to "whats new"
press left 7 times (so your under settings)
press down "?" times so you go under display settings and click HDMI. and then you should have a picture.
I had my friend on my phone and he told me how many times to move down & left etc. Its kinda tricky but i worked for me last time i had that problem.
