  • @phongbong well you gotta remember, this is the successor to Lugaru a game in which the characters are more human than in Overgrowth. They stand on straight legs rather than the animal ones here. Plantigrade I think this would be called, but I might have gotten the two mixed up...

  • That's Cool !!!! I guess this rabbit should bend his ears back, when hanging on the edge (Splinter Cell style) to hide.

  • Most of the animation seems impressive. The exceptions being the running animation and initial jumping animation...mainly because the rabbit doesn't seem to do ANYTHING that suggests he's putting forth an effort to move.

    Still, so far, for a game revolving around animals and having an open editing system, it looks to be a good game.

    Otherwise, this was amazing, and I will be pulling up Lugaru and screwing around a bit in anticipation of the superior product that will be Overgrowth.

    The leaning has been implemented in newer updates, take a look at the latetest videos.

  • @atomgraze Actually if you notice, the wind is louder when hes up on that block at the beginning, but quieter when he jumps down. That just shows that they've perfected the wind/sound system.

  • @darren882211 They created it themselves. I'm not sure if they gave it a name, but if they didn't it's the Overgrowth engine.

  • I love the way you can hear the wind movement change when you move faster and jump. It makes it seem more "intense" I suppose. Although the transition from faster wind to slower wind might sound better if it was more subtle. Seriously though this game amazes me.

  • this is awesome its becoming the best indie game in history i have an idea to make the speed of runnibng gradual you start running and then after a little time youll run faster and also the run animation to be more agresive it looks like he is scared XD

  • I find the wind a little distracting, would be cool for long jumps though, it raises in volume the longer you are in the air. I love that running animation, it is win!.

  • @RealBronzeClaws Umm...well you can run around in the game engine that they have built. You load up the Alpha for Overgrowth and then you press F1 to go into Robbert mode...or something along those lines. =P

  • The footstep sounds are a bit loud in my opinion, And the movement wind should be toned down a bit.

  • You know what, I would totally pre-order this game for even twice as much as it is, just for the gigantic effort you're putting into it. But I don't know if my mac will be able to handle such fantastic graphics when it even lags with games like GTA San Andreas. Can you vaguely tell me the minimum hardware requirements at this point?

  • @CrueLove I imagine that the requirements will vary depending on how good you want to game to look when you play it. The alpha tests they release are (from last time I checked) largely unoptimized and only run on "highest" so it isn't a good example of how well the final game will run on lower settings.

    You know, I think this game was better if you were able to control him with an analog control scheme.
