Thanks for posting this, i'm very interested in how much cpu and ram the gadgets take up, in vista they were a hog and a complete waste for anyone playing games etc. Also, if there are any hitches like when you right click on a file if it takes the odd 4 seconds response time to edit it.
I agree. After all the errors that Vista had upon release, and the errors it STILL has, I have stuck with XP. It's great! It's flexible! It's compatible with ANYTHING! As of right now, XP was the biggest OS franchise to hit the market. But I do have to admit, using XP since the release (2001) does get boring. But what I meant by flexible is, you can bend it into what you want! Such as appearence, (Not the themes that are included), Bootskins, Welcome Screens, etc...
Since you mentioned "video editing/graphic design" I would say hands down your system is a Mac. A lot of people (mostly immature kids) will claim that Windows is the best and start flame wars, pure trash.
Mac OS X is one of the most stable operating systems in the world, based on Unix. Both OS' have pluses and minuses.
When it comes to Video & Graphics Design, Mac's really do outperform and beat most PC's, period. Check my site for more or send me a message... No more space left..
I have attempted to find a comparison on your website - perhaps you can direct me to an article on there?
I do here that one is better than the other - yet not many give reasons as to why one is better than another. Could you please PM me explaining why Mac is better suited for the job than Windows? Thank You :)
Mac OSX Leopard comes bundled with iLife, which gives you intricate photo, movie, audio, and web editing programs. In addition, the popular Final Cut program made by Apple is now the industry standard movie editing software in the film industry, and it's only available on Macs. In addition, Apple display screens (in Macbooks, Macbook Pros, iMacs, and Apple Cinema Displays) only use bright LED backlit 720p or 1080p HD screens. The 17 inch Macbook Pro has an incredibly wide color gamut.
1 more thing, I am glad to know that you are educated!...and not talking out of your butt! Like you said, most people would say, "Hey! Shut up, Windows is the best!"... Definately not true, how many Mac's do you come across with a program that stops responding, or, simply has an error at all! Although, 90% of the computers in the world run on Windows, only for the compatibility. No matter how much Microsoft tries, the stability will never match a Mac. They need to start from TOTAL SCRATCH!
You should make a sequel, but showing features. Such as Snap-To, or the Peek-Thru, etc... I am probably gonna set up a Virtual Machine on my Windows XP Machine tomorrow.
Noted. I will certainly follow up with a few more videos on Windows 7. It was a good idea to introduce some news things and get people use to seeing Win 7 (Microsoft, can I get some money please???)
Use VMWare Workstation or the open-source Sun xVM Virtual Box for setting up a VM environment on your XP machine...
PS. I have subscribed due to your videos! I absolutely love technology, I am always in some electronic store! and since you like technology too, we have something in common that we both enjoy. :) AND, thanks for the pointers on what VM's to use. :)

Thank You for sharing that with us.
As you have used both MAC and Windows 7 (Beta) - which of the two would you recommend to someone deciding between the two?
Its needed for both communication and video editing/graphic designing.

Hey Khonia, the site does not have a Windows/Mac comparison.

Then could you please help me to understand as to why Mac is a better option? I truly don't know the big difference between the two.
