  • Is this the same locomotive that's in the Smithsonian?

  • @boogerkitty123 Its the same type but different road number. #1401 is in the Smithsonian(since 1961). It was chosen as it was one of the steamers that pulled the FDR(Franklin Delano Roosevelt) funeral train to DC from Warm Springs,Ga. in 1945.

  • I live a short drive away from one of its stops in Flowery Branch Georgia. The old depot there has an o-gauge model of it. I think this is it right here.

  • @historyman101 - everything on here is either for sale or sold. This set should be posted in a couple of weeks. I also have the 2 car addon and StationSounds diner that match this set. (the 2 car addon and StationSounds diner are mint in the box.)
