This game "SHOULD" have been a major success from day 1, but was nowhere near it - it was so bad at first, they even took away the monthly subs just to make sure people actually stuck with it.

Now days its supposed to be 100% better, but im still doubtful, it is nowhere near as good as "ffxi" and ffxi players would know this.

It will be released for the PlayStation 3 later on this year.

I'm not sure if Final Fantasy XIV will come to the Xbox 360. :U

This was an awesome game graphics wise. You can tell that the visual quality is there. So who ever produced the game did a fantastic job. But what it lacks is the ideas that were put into the game. The gameplay mechanics is a bit too conservative.

unfortunately the game lacks so much... I was very disappointed when I tried to play it after playing FFXI for 6 years... I know they are doing as much as possible to fix the problems and I think they've been able to get some of it but there are rumors that they want to redo the entire game. I hope they fix it since it has so much potential!

i have not gotten this game yet but i really hope they do eventually just copy and past ffxi in ffxiv, getting to relive the awesomeness as a lvl 1 character again would be epic, all ffxi ever lacked was a pvp option and the game did totally fine without it!

There is no Mailbox, No AH, Lag, a little more lag, and some more lag....

Copy/pasted terrains.... the list goes on.

i dont know when u take a classic rpgs series of games and then try and make it an online mmo game online it just loses its appeal just seems to me like it will dump worse than what wow had dumped in the last 5 yrs ...i dont know thats just how i feel i wish they would make something like ff10 ff12 ff7 and ff3 and ff9 and make a game in that style classic solo rpg and make one 100times more epic than all of those!

@TheFishKeeper100 to my knowledge they have postponed the ps3 release? as regards to weather you should buy it or not.. i love final fantasy and i too play wow and played ffxi. got it for 4 euro on the pc marked down from 40... dare i say it i actually regret it. it has become free to play because its so messed up! which is good if you want to try it out but i assure you, its not worth your time.it will be free to play until its made better but there are still major issues they havent fixed yet.
