i was watching the firgure ice skating once and i saw this is was absoulty breathe taken by his dedication and also the way in which he gets into the skating i have watched various videos of him since the first time i have watchted it, and this song which he skates too i honestly watched it about 45 times as i never get bored of it ! i think he one very talented ice skater of today! and very good looking !

I think Brian did very well this Europeans, He proved that he learned a lot and has improved n over these last 4 years. His spins are lower his footwork is dynamic and his jumps are strong and clean. It's really amazing to see Brian perform programs like these in live action!

This guy cannot be himself to save his own life. Steps a la Yagudin, arms and body movements a la Plushenko. Technically was very nice, choreography left a lot to be desired (jumps in 1-2-3)... I have y reservation on him. BUt good luck anyhow.

@jojo26111 Unfortunately it doesn't look promising for Joubert now. I haven't been able to watch his Olympic SP, but I'm shocked he came 18th, whilst Plushenko broke the Olympic Record.

Brian, it is so far below the level of the great Plushenko. It was a terrific monotonous program with faux sexiness.

Brian is the only one able to beat Plushenko. He did it in the past and he will do at the Olympics. So, he was the first man to put 4 quads in his program and still has the score record!

SweetJoe- Don't let nationalistic pride get in the way of truth. Plushenko is a complete skater and artist. Joubert will not be Olympic champion. Guaranteed.

Maybe bronze, The silver will go to the japanese or Lambiel (On agood night)

@Qbendanny You´re right. Plushenko is in pole position for the gold medal! But i think this olympics will be more competitive than 2006. Plushenko is the best "jumper", hands down!, but the rest of his programs are flat and boring.

The other contenders for the gold are Joubert (which SP is pretty good but try to hard copying Yagudin and the FP was a mess in the Euros) Lysacek (who I think is in great shape and is the biggest contender against Plushy.I like his Scheherazade but hate is SP)

Lambiel: On a good night, like you said, Lambiel can win a medal, still no 3 axel, but he had 4 quads in the Euros and amazing footwork and spins (just marvelous)

Takahashi: He has the "Sasha Cohen" sindrome. Can performe a amazing SP (like in the Worlds 2008 (hiphip swan lake!) or GPF 2009) and then in the FP just mess up everything.

Chan and Abbott, if perform well under pressure possibily can win a medal.

I think the favourites for the win are Plushenko and Lysacek : )

He has the "Petrenko flair" a good 3 Axel but no quads! I like is FP Fallen Angels this year if he works the transitions better.

Hate the costumes....and Lysacek try to copy him with the feathers

My favourite Weir program was his 2006 Sp, that was really pretty and elegant :)

ANNIE- Evan is terrific, I don't dislike him. However, I get the sensation he is being attacked by a swarm or bees when he skates. La Weir, is just a cocktail waitress at a strip club(I can see the judges cringe!). I like Abbott's style. My picks:

Gold- Plushenko

Silver-Abbott

Bronze- Joubert

@Qbendanny I love Evan, is my favourite. I understand what you want to say with "being attack by a swarm or bees", his movements with the his arms sometimes freaks me, it´s to much. In the GPF Lysacek was very inflacted by the judges....he was good but not that god, so I think the judges really want give him a medal.

Gold : Plushenko ( he is great, but his footwork scares me....it´s so frenetic that looks like a chihuahua having a epilepsic attack)

Silver: Lysacek ( if he really performe well and Plushy have any fail, maybe gold)

Bronze: Joubert

Abbott, i don´t know how he react under pressure...but his programs in US championships were terrific! Just amazing and elegant (remembers me Matt Savoie, who i loved)

at this level and since they were the last group it matters maybe they gave some more to plusenko but brian did some significant mistakes that could not be hidden and i may say that i love them both and in fact baboo is my absolute loved one i adore his skating i love fig skating in general but i have to admit he did some minor mistakes which he knows himself!

And actually, Brian's lost some weight, as I see - which is very good for him. He always performs better when he doesnt look like a piglet. I just hope the coach wont let him gain any before the Olympics.

Plushenko may be a genius, but he spent the last 4 years grabbing money for ice shows, Eurovision and commercials like Oriflame. And now it's the Olympic season - and look who's back!

He's like Grinch, only with the Olympics instead of Christmas.

And I'm soooo happy for Brian, that he did not give up the ice to Plushenko and showed an amazing performance!

I do understand that evgeni and Brian were very close in score and the only difference was that Evgeny did a quad triple and Brian a quad double.

But Brian's program is so much more fun and has more performance quality. Brian's spins and footwork is considerably faster than plushenko's but overall I really like them both.
