700gx has a new tunes compared to the 300gx as 300gx carried on the tunes from 700sx, which is not bad itself, but you can say it's one generation behind.

My b-day coming out soon and I plan on getting a keyboard. Your Roland RD-300GX sounds beautiful. Does it have accompaniment like you did with your " Sakurairo " ? Idk, I'm a noobie with the keyboard was wondering how people make the supporting background instruments to go along with the music.

I'm guessing you're talking about my old sakurairo video, well yes and no, it does have accompaniment beat but there's no control to improvise the pattern, so it's like you turn the drum on, and it'll loop til it drives you crazy, so if your goal is to play with various arrangement and style, then go with keyboard. If you want a more piano like feeling, then go with digital piano. Most of the cases, I recorded all of my tracks separately and mixed it in computer.

yeah it's a lil quiet now as we've got the previews and stuff, I think she'll start doing tegami promo this week starting with Music Station Performance on 5th september, yeah the TODAY DVD will be released on Oct 1st if I'm not mistaken, and as a quick update I am gonna be recording "Still Fighting It", not sure how different her version will be with Ben Folds', but I'm gonna be doing Ben Folds' version for now.

what kind of setup are you running your 300gx through? and are these videos EQ'd?

hey, are you serious? you probably just need to find the right combinations of settings for the piano and get yourself comfortable with it, the new Expressive Grand sound is really awesome IMO, and yeah the keybed is superb too especially with the ivory feel. I recorded my audio directly to the computer's sound card, and did all the sound/video editing in the comp as well.

P.S. Could you do a video demoing the RD-300GX? I'm kind of debating on whether to purchase this or the Yamaha YPG635.

hey thanks, honestly if budget is not a problem I would definitely go with RD300, the biggest different will be the polyphony sound (RD's 128 Vs. YPG's 64), that alone will make a LOT of difference in playing, other than that I couldn't really comment since I'll be totally biased towards Roland. I will try to do one demo video after I'm familiar with it as I am still learning all of the awesome features myself.

Actually, my budget is $1500 (it used to be $1000). So yeah, I knocked off the YPG. Now, I'm deciding between the Korg TR88, Yamaha MO8 and this.
