  • never get sick of this song they hav so many different artist sing this

  • such an alto. it takes such talent to sing this low this beautifully as a woman.

  • Wow... I just love this song and rhythm... I am only 19 and I love the 60's, music was great back then...now it is just ok

  • @yarycp Im 15, and I listen to nothing but the 60's and more.

  • Oh I remember! Emergency!

  • What TV show was she in or am I'm crazy. In the 50's or 60's?

  • @marycreeves The TV show Emergency. Her husband played one of the doctors, and he wrote the great Get your kicks on Route 66.

  • This song is so beautiful, itmakes me want to dance with an invisable man...

  • @hhhwebkinz Love your comment even thou im a man.

  • @Shameonyou6 Lol, you can dance with an invisable woman :)

  • @hhhwebkinz Haha yeah, exactly

  • Oh.My.Goddess o_o

I think I just fell in love *¬*

I can't believe I spend all my life not knowing her music

    Her voice is pure sensuality

    This is real music <3

    (sorry for my english ._.U)

  • This is the best version of the song...beautiful,beautiful,beautiful.....

  • Wow....I'm not even attracted to females and it affected me like that. She's so talented!I wish I could have told her that in person.

  • Just beautiful!!!

  • wowwww...!!

  • @ NicivsMartine - "real" women don't just naturally get a waist like that. You need to read Valley of The Dolls - anorexia was just as rampant then as it is now

  • She is one the great, sexy-devas of our time...but, aren't we all?!

    diana

  • gentlemen: please stop fantasizing about unnatural females. Ladies: please stop trying to look like anorexic supermodels. THIS right here is still a REAL woman.

  • @NikivsMartine well shes completely bones now..... oww too soon?

  • @Julleen dont be an ass

  • @TedWalker15 u mad?

  • wonderful

  • I've always dreamed of doing a ballrom dance to this, kind of like the tango. I love this song and yes i am a 14 year old girl.

  • Seduction garanted. :)

    Wonderful song!

  • Julie London so beautiful, and her voice is superb.

  • They don't make women like this anymore.

  • @Wizzy7131 Unfortunately....

  • this is music that sounds fun in the making and to play. Music this days sounds like its made in a hurry to make money, no wonder the songs only go about one thing. Makes me sad.

  • Her voice......awesome o//////////////o

  • She nailed it but I wish Peggy covered this

  • captivating voice

  • She is such a babe!

  • marvelous!

  • Comment removed

  • Women were sexy back then too. Just be captivated by her incredible allure.

  • Sway by Jul' make me miss my lover...

  • I really just love this song. This is what sex appeal should be like nowadays. Not "let me see that booty drop."

  • @RoCkbunny769 I agree, subtle and implied seduction is so much better than the direct in-yo-face-lemme-have-it kind, but still... I can guess that on her own time standards, she was quite the scandal! ;)

  • She was more beautiful as she aged.

  • Lov song is hard to find. beautiful.

  • Who is this woman that makes you crave a more value in life. A song of which gives life a meaning, thanks!

  • Damn, why can't we have singers like her anymore :*(? What happened?

  • dean martin is much better ...and it is deans song

  • Another red head to drive me crazy. All of them. What is it?

  • you all gotta listen Dean Martin sing this song...as good as her

  • I always thought Julie was great (&beautiful) Could you post "June in January" by Julie ?

  • My God. She had such a dollface....Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

  • Yep....then it was about true love; now it's just sex and "hookin' up" between "friends with benefits". WTH!?

  • MI CHICA PIN-UP

  • So much sensual seduction in her voice, unlike those who can only sell themselves with excessive sexual gimmicks

  • @kissinbooth it shows how little the consumers of pop music value the english language.

  • @kissinbooth

    exactly..she's wonderful.

  • annndddd -im lesbian.

  • Her voice was amazing :) RIP

  • Repo Men brought me here lmao

  • I feel like she's drunk and smooth... wow I like to sway with her

  • best version of sway. Seems like this song was written for her.

  • Julie London *is* the songs she sings.

  • SHE HAD IT ALL-BEAUTY-TALENT- SEX APPEAL AND A GREAT VOICE. LOVE HER..............

  • WOW...brilliante.so difficult to sing like this

  • She kinda reminds me of Jessica Rabbit, smooth, sexy but with such beauty/passion in her voice that it just makes u stop what ur doing, drop what ur holding and just stand there in awe.

  • @Whisperingtothefire

Weird as it sounds, I know exactly what you mean :)

  • Very good song.

  • More emotional and mesmerizing? Emotionally, I feel completely mesmerized when I listen to Julie.

  • she sounds too tired, this needs to be more emotional and mesmerizing

  • völl_geil_lÉÛtè_sUcht_màl_nâch:_olikohle_åÙf_goØglè_vÔll_gÉέl

  • Maria Carla Boscono kinda looks like her.. both iconic women

  • like like like.

    what a total seductress.

  • She's a lovely, seductive lady with a great voice.

But I prefer Dean Martin's version.

  • @midianholic who in turn took it from rosemary clooney

  • you make me go to sleep with your singing!!!

  • A masterful interpretation of "Quien Será" which Jennifer Lopez shredded in her effort. See:

Sway (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] "¿Quién será?" by Pablo Beltrán Y Su Orchestra ... "¿Quién será?" is a Spanish song written and recorded by Pablo Beltrán Ruiz. ...

  • True music.

  • Glorious

  • fabulous..

  • like the music.

  • Fantastic late night music. This is my favorite version by far.

  • I am 19 years old and I just fell in love with this song and this singer. I wish music returned to this era.

  • @Cactuar182 i knooow it makes me sad that its all gone :( ...THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE :D !

  • lol I'm Twelve and prefer this kind of music better than the crap my friends are frying their brains with XD

  • Is anyone out there can tell me who sang the first version of sway?

  • super

  • Lovely....

  • Can anyone please tell m if this was sold on a 45 rpm record? I've been looking for a copy and no luck.

  • @mechmusicman it was not issued as a single . It`s an album track on her 1963 album `Julie London Sings "Latin In A Satin mood" `.

  • i wish i was an alto!!!! then i would be able to sing this song without struggling in my chest voice!!

  • She is beautiful...

  • I think Julie London is great. Always have. What I don't understand is why people think the music of today is terrible. I think there are some great people out there in the music industry of today. Not the same music but still all music is great no matter how its done.

  • Julie was always hot and smooth. She could deliver the melody and there were great melody wizards in her day. Everything now is 2 verses a chorus and a hook line (ie Jason Blum). Now its formula music.

Quincy Jones was right, "Melody is the soul of music"

Mike Reed got out of pop because it was all about the "hook" line. After that any old tune will do.

Need focus back on the music and not the "show".

  • This Lady had more talent in her toenail clippings than most modern "artists" have in their whole studios

  • @Zelemines I completely agree, well said my friend.

  • Nothing forced, nothing false, just sweet, sweet music from the very best of her time... and today as well! Sadly, they don't make 'em like that anymore...

  • Dean Martin is GOD for music like this.... This is nice but Dean is perfect.....

  • This is my favorite version of the song. I think it just smolders, exudes a velvety kind of sexy.

  • Wow Julie London's version of "Sway" seems so depressing, lonely, and lazy. Like your entering an eerie bar filled with people who are inconsolable; however her voice is superb! Rosemary Clooney version seems live and vivacious, almost as if stirring yourself up and making you want to dance. Pussycat Dolls version....well... the way they sang the song is great, but the whole video performance seems soo sexually sensual. Overall...I really miss the classic's.

  • Julie London's version is not too bad, but for me, I really like Rosemary Clooney's version better.

  • The more of her songs I listen to the more I like her. She is so amazing.

  • glee ruined music! :(

  • Oooh, this version is so bluesy and sexy! My name is Julie :)

  • beautiful song and voice its better then glee version :)

  • @mutlib12 Sorry to say this....but anybody's singing is better than any Glee song. Example: They definitely messed up Don't Stop Believing and Faithfully both by Journey. -.- Ms. London did an awesome job on this song.

  • @animiechick16 yeah agree with you :)

  • cloneys is much better this is too dreamy.

  • Wonderful version of Julie... latin music "the best" !!!!!! no other music can make people dance all over the world, specially in Europe...

  • She is easy on the eyes!

  • Honey trap for ears and eyes.

  • That woman is beautiful and can sing.

    Shes my idol >.<

    Love from Germany!

    - Jessica

  • would hit it with the force of a thousand angry gods.

  • I like this song that sang by Julie london & Dean Martin.

  • i like this version of sway <3 <3 <3

  • what a beautiful voice

  • Love that voice!

  • just listening to julie , and you can feel love

  • Aww yeah - sing it Nurse Dixie McCall!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this.

  • It may seem as though we are lacking in talent but talent exists just as it always has. The problem is that it is undervalued in western culture. Take a look for example at some of Shakira's original pieces - the ones she wrote and composed herself. They were full of meaning and richly enchanting. Listen to the way she sang Hay Amores...and you'll understand what I mean. But America is obsessed with sex so now she does things like she-wolf. Sadly, a case of supply and demand.

  • @leahandpab There is also too much choice, to find the real talent you have to look for a needle in a haystack.

  • @leahandpab so true... unfortunatly so true..

  • @leahandpab --- Shakira's work is amazing. And so is this piece. I think in general talent is appreciated, but harder to see for all the marketing. It's a vicious cycle: people think only "sex" (or whatever the marketers are hawking) is all there is, they still like the the performer (talented musicians still outperform incompetents), but since access to the less marketed work is more difficult they demand more of the "sex", and so the marketers claim that only "sex" is in demand

  • Wonderful version of "Quien sera el que me quiera ami" , Julie is lovely!!!

  • Musica para que nos acompañe en nuestro camino que nos propone nuestro destino.

  • I like this song very much and this is a lovely rendition.

  • I wish everybody could refrain from whining on these posts: either analyze the performance and the performer or STFU. Nobody wants more trite commentary about the good old days -London would not be singing like this in 2010 either. Gaga is fine in her genre, Buble is fine in his genre, AC/DC was fine in their genre. It has nothing to do with Julie London. A great big STFU to all you pretentious "fans".

  • wonderful voice!!!!

  • amazing voice control (Y)

  • What a beautiful voice I never heard of Julie London before, I first time I heard of her was in an old movie The girl can't help it with Tommy Ewell, andJane Mansfield. I think that everyone that likes or loves Julie's voice should watch her in this movie she only makes a guest appearence.

  • Her eyes are so deep, very intelligent , large, and wide. Gorgeous!

  • I love this song, She can sing it so sweet

  • wow - so was so BEAUTIFUL - sorry for the misspelling

  • Jules is hard to beat! Lovely songstress!

  • Stunning lady and stunning voice... WOW :0)x

  • Man, she had 'it' by the truckload....They sure don't make 'em like Ms. London any more...

  • shes aight...but rosemary clooney is way sexier :D

  • Outstanding vocal.. brings back memories of the past era great talent, even to an old USN woodwind musician. ..Great stage band as well!..-dgr887

  • 22 ppl dont know good music

  • I said it before and I'll say it again, that lady knows how to wear a dress. A lost art and a rare jewel of a performer. Thanks for posting.

  • wow... voice like bitter chocolate! love her!

  • What a VOICE! When I was a little girl, I so wanted to grow up to look like her. (I didn't.) (darn) Today's singers have to take almost everything off to try to look as sexy as she did. She got attention just walking into a room fully clothed. And that VOICE!

  • she was HOT on EMERGENCY..LOL... remember?I only just learned SHE could sing too!!!

  • I love how she keeps her natural voice pitch not trying to sing all high and what not..her voice is lower and enchanting..i love it!!

  • 0:26,0:38,0:50....The most beautiful pictures. She was so pretty!

    And look singers today -.-

  • Juile London came in to fame at a time when the talent was the best in music, hollywood, and she rose to the top, the so called talent today can not compete in any way, compare Modonna, Spears, Swift, at the time of Juile London they could not have been a cheap lounge act.

  • @htrrz or (in comparison) they could have just been a really cheap act ;)

  • @htrrz So true. I was also thinking how Diana Krall pales in comparison. Just an imitation of the real thing. I mean, the Krall and Diana Ross types have talent but they, and the modern world as a whole, are missing something...a style, a class, something that can't be faked.

  • this is kind make me go in tears a bit :(

  • She is the epitomy of femininity and absolute class in one.

  • Women during post depression era are 1000 times classier than what we have today. Julie London > Linsday Lohan.

  • I love these songs, I'm just not sure what they're called...

They're jazzy but upbeat, and come from an era I just can't place. What genre would it be?

  • @violetsaregold This is a beguine (listen to the bass); very laid back. Check out Rosie Clooney's version with Perez Prado (the mambo king). Other versions on YouTube by Bobby Rydell (excellent), Pablo Beltran Ruiz (composer), Edie Gorme (great), Michael Buble. This is from the 50's, during a surge in the popularity of Latin music, particularly dance music: mambo, cha cha, rhumba, etc.

  • Who the original singer?????A million singer covered this!!!

  • wow, ich kenne alle lieder, aber, she is the absolutley BEST!!! WOW

  • only 1 word ,,,deliscious,,

  • from who is the original song?

  • @llicious88

"Sway" is the English version of "¿Quién será?", a 1953 mambo song by Mexican composer and bandleader Pablo Beltrán Ruiz. In 1954 the English lyrics were written by Norman Gimbel, and recorded by Dean Martin (His version the most famous and probably the best)

  • @sufr50

    thank you

  • Desde niña que soy una admiradora y fan de Julie London!

    Tiene algo tan especial !

  • London's version has the feel that Xavier Cugat would put to it. Her "Cry Me A River" is still high on my list after lo these many years.

  • wow this is beautiful!!! i would love to dance with a girl to this that would be super nice and sexy, especially the way she sings it its kinda gloomy yet so exotic i love it

  • Absolute perfection

  • omg,i thought dean martin was good but this is superb

  • @14hcap Apples and Oranges my friend , Dino was the best of his kind and Julie was 1 of the best of her kind... both great and we'll never see the likes of 2 such Charismatic entertainers again.

  • She has it ALL!
