  • Louis Armstrong sang this song many times.

  • I lived in New Orleans for 33 years, and I do believe that it has been mentioned in more songs than any other city in the world.

  • didnt louis armstrong also sing this song? anyone know where i can listen?

  • @arjununc

Many people have sung this song, so it is possible ... I do remember Mr Armstrong singing a song that starts "Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans and miss it each night and day" (or something like that) ... :p

  • rated it 5 stars this time <.<

  • o dam i accidently rated it 4 stars i ment to 5 stars.. soo sorry.. i loove this song!

  • Joe, your honesty is better than all the ratings in the world ... :))

  • I've never heard this version. What does it come from? Wonderful!

  • It was an unissued Decca along with "Alabamy Bound"

  • WOW! what a great quality recording!

Ive never heard that version before, thanks Pat! it almost sounded like a live

recording. I really dont like those enhanced for stereo deccas the monos sound so much better. thanks again more please!?

  • Jeff, There isn't a lot more ... The flipside (to be) would have been "I'm Alabamy Bound" if they had been released ... And I have included that (in part) on the "Al Jolson - Greatest Hits" video.
