I saw this in Spokane: Joe Albi Stadium: Head frackin' BANGIN' Man! Hurricane solo was DEAD ON!! Van Hagar was Great; It was Scorping Hot; First aid was very busy rehydrating, and I was STRAIGHT THE WHOLE TIME! No booze, no weed, no nothing but a case of Squirts(the drink, you dweebs:)
@hartistry1957 The spokane monsters of rock was my first concert ever!! That had to be the hottest day of the whole summer. I remember waiting in line to get soaked by a water hose to cool off.
YEAH! I saw this show in Houston at Rice stadium! It was awesome! Got to met Metallica backstage. Great show, wish they would do it again. What ever happen to Kingdom Come?
I saw them in Spokane. Went with my sister mainly for the Scorpions and Van Halen. It was hot that day. Some guy in front of us was head banging to Metallica and knew all the words. I wasn't into Metallica at that time, but love them now. They played fast back then. The ticket was like 30 bucks. Fun day.
@TheMrAwesome17 Hagar era?....I can buy that. But you can't compare LA hard rock with thrash metal....Metallica don't exist for me after the Justice album though. Each to their own I guess.
@gardnerdigital Yes!!!!! Who could forget that? They put on a better show than Kingdom Come did. lol. I remember Brother Wease talking about it the next day on the radio.
@frettin11 OMG!!! I have been wondering for 23 years if anyone else in the stadium ever saw that. I took a nice hit of trip before the concert and I wasn't sure for all these years if that really took place or not. Thank you for clearing up this multi-decade mind-boggle that I have been fighting with!! W#O#W#!!!!!!!!! Long live that day!!!
@gardnerdigital Ha Ha ha !!!!! The funny thing is, I all this time I could not remember if it really happened either or if it was just another pot/beer induced "memory" from my youth. You confirmed it for me!!!! Then that opened up the floodgates. I then was able to faintly recall a local DJ talking about it on air the next day. If memory serves me correct, they were way up near the top row, to the right of the stage (facing it), and no one else was sitting near them. People pointed and cheered.
@frettin11 I saw this concert in Los Angeles when metallica played all the people get down to the field and the segurity man was fightingbecause all dudes wants to get near to the stage.Fucking great.
Saw this concert at RFK Stadium in D.C. June 10,1988.The one band not mentioned here,Kingdom Come, opened the show and kicked ass.A massive food fight broke out in the stands inbetween sets of the Scorps and Halen.Great memories!
Saw them at Candlestick park in San Francisco in June of 1988. I about died seeing George Lynch 5 feet infront of me playing some of the best guitar I had ever heard. Then seeing Eddie hours later after 100+ heat that day made it totally worth it. They opened up with Summer Nights and the party was on! Eddie was amazing and I got to see my idol for the first time ever. I'll never forget it.
I was at Rich Stadium in Buffalo....it was 96 degrees that day, the show was awesome
