  • Anyone else think this instrument is perfect for lord of the rings songs? :)

  • Cool! My great grandmother has one of these, but this is the first time I've heard it played. Very nice! :)

  • ...waaayyy cooler than I had originally anticipated. Thanks for the video!

  • That was great! Thank you!

  • A very good job of playing this! They're not bad if you use the right touch on the bow so it doesn't screech.

  • i would like to hear the song from the shire from lord of the rings on that one

  • Hello Why not buy 3 set,s of 12 guitar strings. Cost less and there are most size what you need. Try to get a machinist caliper to measure the strings and of the ukelin and find a string from the new pack and and put them on. Then get a tuner and tune the strings from the decal on the instrument.

  • Hello. Why not but 3 set,s of 12 guitar strings, They would cost less. I would measure the old strings with a caliper on micrometer like machinist use. Then get a tuner to tune the strings with by the decal on the instrument. POP

  • i found myself a ukelin in a thrift store a couple weeks ago. the strings are far too old to play though. I was thinking i could buy 32 individual guitar strings to tune it up. do you have any idea what size strings i should look for?

  • Great ! Glad you liked it

  • my father had one of these but I'd never seen or heard one played until now. I never knew it was a bowed instrument

  • OW MY EARS

  • Wow, I love this! Thank you for the demonstration. I have one (without the bow) and had no idea how this instrument was played. What a treat!

  • is it hard to play?

  • I dont think it hard to play, just play the melody first . and then work in the chords

  • Hello,

What a cool instrument - it's kind of like a bowed psaltery with more features.

  • @Cucarachabalear It is fun to show how to play it. POP

  • @Cucarachabalear Yes but it has chords to go with the melody. POP
