Nice sound! I have a question, I own a Korg Karma with the MOSS EXB installed. Does the M3 use the same file structure for Sounds, Combis, Songs etc and can it read and playback old Karma songs/sequences? The Karma used a 3.5" floppy drive so, I guess I would have to copy them over to whatever the M3 uses (usb?, memory card? ) Thanks for any info you can provide

Reading the PDF file that came with the Visions of Shiva Combi Collection, it mentions "tempo" - are these like, demos where you can play along with or can you use them as sounds/voices and play your own music with single notes? Confused.

@pianogrl697 you can play whatever you want in any tempo you want, each combi is just a style guide with lot's of variations in the sounds for that style. Therefor, if you play your own different theme's with the same combi, you will get a completely different track. That's the way the KARMA engine works where you can switch between 8 scenes. Every scene can be modified with the buttons and sliders just the way you want it to accompany your theme.

@qrobinez OK awesome I think I get it LOL. I wasn't sure if when you play there would be a drum track playing with it or something, etc. or if you can just hit a note and a sound was produced. Once I get my Korg I'll have to check it out - I am very new to this but I wanna learn! =)

Great keyboard, playing, and patch/sound effects. How should I decide between the Korg M3, Pa2x Pro, or the Tyros 3? They all seem very powerful. I'm particularly interested in the accompaniment features and less so the workstation aspect of it. Interested in contemporary and spacey sounds. Thx for any opinions.

don't play at that angle of the keys, cause you won't get maximum power, speed and accuracy. whether you keep it horizontaly or you may lean it a lil bit forward. that's why you can lift the module, in order to see the screen. anyways, nice playing!

I USE Korg only for electronic sounds...for acoustic, always motif xs. motif xs also has a more virus-like filters so its great for trance music.

korg for ambient, new age, cinematic music.

Karma is like a midi player. Instead of just doing basic arp like up/dn it can do real playing movements. The varys in timing and speed. Arp or step seq the timing is snap to a grid. Karma is not. It can be but, not always. You can apply it to effects or anything to be real creative. I haven't covered everything. Not sure if I ever could. Its like sex positions. YOu can always make a new one :)

this demo was made with the Standard Korg M3. There were no expansion boards used in this demo. It's just loading one of my combi's in the m3 and start playing. If you download the new version of the soundset the combi to use is: F018 Cathedral Angels.

Thanks, I did. I love your combi pack. Cathedral Angels sounds slightly different on my M3, but It still sounds great. Your music is also really good. You got some skill designing those combo's. I hate to sound intrusive, but have been working on any new packs for download, I am sure that would make many people happy. Anyway's keep up the awesome work.

Hi vent5, congratualtions on getting the M3! I'm still waiting for my replacement M3XP-73 after the one I had delivered had a spot of dirt under the screen.

Anyway, yep, you are all set to go. The new V2.0 of his combi set is designed specifically for the XPanded M3 running OS V2.0. The only thing I can't tell you is whether these only use the standard program banks I-A to I-C, or if they also use EXB-RADIAS (I-F) and EX-USB-PCM01, EX-USB-PCM02 and EX-USB-PCM03 programs.
