I have a 14" Ridgit bandsaw, it is two years old. On mine it started scrapping the housing cover, it ended up being the cast iron got tweeked, from not releasing the tention, when not in use. I had put washers between the frame to tilt it the other way. Other wise the guide's didn't do anything. Hope this helps.
I have a different problem with my blade since I pushed a hidden nail in the wood I was cutting into the blade. I can not get the saw to cut straight since. I checked all adjustments, but the blade wants to veer off and pull the wood away from the fence. Any sugestions?
The problem is with the aluminum arm holding the upper wheel, not the wheel itself. If the saw is left for too long with too much blade tension the arm will warp causing the wheel to tilt out at the top and in on the bottom. This tilt can eventually get too much for the tracking system to overcome and the blade will come off. The problem can be corrected by grabbing the wheel and pushing in on the top and pulling out on the bottom to bend the arm back to the correct position.

I suspect that you are in need of a new blade. Nails are not good. The blade may be usable but probably not for resawing.
