Yes, certain scenes were filmed in Todmorden. The police station (exterior) was the real police station in Bacup, and Rawtenstall doubled as lots ot town scenes in "Hartley".

contaminated the scene nicely by covering the body with her coat..typical of an inspector. Clearly the workers (PCs) are tied up elsewhere as I never knew of an Inspector and Sergeant doing a search like this..oh well, the gap between tv drama and reality..
