Lol it's kind of weird, when I watched this for a first time I had no idea what he said, but now that I've studied japanese I can understand (Though not perfectly :d)
Interesting, he use "watashi" and some formal words (it's the only thing my rudimentary Japanese can catch XD), so I think they make him more formal sounding? Maybe to fit into his suave persona.
@peaceluvfever825 Do you know if the Japanese voices used what would be equivalent to an American Southern accent? Like if they used Kansai dialect or something?
Hahaha, yes, some of them do have a different dialect which I suspect they used to get as close to the characters as possible. Tiana has the city accent but the prince has a peculiar accent, but I think that's on purpose rather than being a specific dialect. The most prominent dialect would most definitely be Ray's voice :D It's basically the same in the English version if you were to rank the accents. However, some of them don't have dialects but character voices.
@peaceluvfever825 Okay, i see. I'm Cajun (like Ray--I just don't have an accent because I was born and raised in California) and Louisiana has a lot of unique accents that you can only find there. So I was really curious about the Japanese version. Thanks for responding :3
Aw, one part was changed, because the Japanese don't really say things like we do... When he told the prince "I see green in your future" with the final card, it was actually translated into Japanese here so that he said 'money' instead of 'green'. 'Green' is slang that they don't use/know in Japan. So it's too bad that the subtle foreshadowing that was in that English lyric right there couldn't be fit in...
Good translation otherwise, and great choice of voice actor!
@mewnadja The only word i get is Nakamia or what ever the One Piece call them self for Family. I learn the very primal basics Like hi and goodbye in few languishes. That's really it the rest I just pick up from where ever.
This. Kingdom Hearts 3. Make it so.

This isn't as good as the original, but he does pretty well considering how the original had this flair to it that not many people can match.
