this is criminal..outrageous..not only would I try again but this time I would take a lawyer..Nedal you are a human being and I think that is the only basis for blood donation besides illness, age, or weight..I am shocked..I would take a lawyer with you..and a tape recorder..Maybe even the news station..OUTRAGEOUS
now anyone that knows anything about applying for residency knows that in order to become a permanent resident(then citizen) you have to have a complete physical exam including checks for TB, all immunizations, etc. so that is a crock of crap they are feeding you, for sure.Not only that but the way they breached all confidentiality and HIPPA laws in regards to announcing to everyone within earshot that you had Herpes..yeah, give it another try and see what excuse they try to give you next time.
This is sad.If I were you I would take all the paper work from the Doctor that says you do not have high blood pressure or herpes to the blood mobile.Get the media involved call the newspaper in your town and the tv stations.I'm sure they would be interested in a story like this.Good luck to you

I have donated blood myself, and have thought about doing that again, but now I am rethinking that after what you have mentioned has happened. Go to a different blood bank. Mabe some racial profiling is going on there! If your still willing to give, there are others who will take it.
Get a clean bill of health from your doctor and they cant refuse you! Even your doctor will draw the blood for you if you ask!
