This is the best Ring I've heard since Karajan's. It appears to be patterned after Karajan's Ring, in emphasis, tempo, etc. It is simply stupendous, heaven on earth! It doesn't suprise me as Mehta was always one of my favorite conductors, since his days here in L.A. as head of the L.A. Phil. And the visuals are absolutely stunning. The acting is overwhelming, bringing me to tears. I can't say enough about the voices and acting of Wotan and Brunnhilde. Absolutely recommend! Siegmund.
