never saw this till now but VERY IMPRESSED and suprised that he is actually using double bass for the first time the kicks are fuck awsome he should expierement with it
For me, watching this was like that "Congratulations. You're still my agent" Jerry Maguire scene. Congratulations, Jimmy. You're still one of my favourite drummers in the world.
Still hungry. Still getting better all the time. A great player with his own voice.
Jimmy using a double pedal?? Unheard of!! He's one of the main reasons I've always believed in sticking with my single pedal. But there's never any harm in looking to expand one's horizons, i suppose. Great solo, Jimmy!
@DrumstixXx101 Idk about that man... A friend of mine who's from Chicago said he saw JC in Chicago, and he asked him if he used a double in Quiet or Tristessa. He said told him he did in Quiet, but not on Tristessa. I looked it up myself and found out he used a double DW pedal.
@fuzzyroes Not true. I just saw SP in NYC and they were freakin amazing. THE best concert i've been to so far and i saw them 2 other times with Jimmy. Byrne is really starting to step it up this year.
@spguitar Yeah I admit the kids gotten better... better at playing JIMMYS parts. On the new songs the drumming sounds generic and uninspired... Its one thing learning someone elses music... its another writing your own...
Byrne has no originality. Dont know what Corgan was smoking when he thought that idea up.
@fuzzyroes someone had to replace him. I think Byrne is doing just fine. I'm not saying he's going to be another Jimmy. No one can replace one of the greatest of all time. But he's by far the closest to Jimmy that i've heard. And i have heard quite a few.
@satellite619 I shot it last Saturday at my friend Victor Salazar's badass drum shop's grand opening. If you are ever in Chicago, you need to check this place out. It's incredible. The address is 324 N. Loomis.
Holy crap. Gets better with age. He practices everyday. It shows. A lot of drummers don't practice or warm up. It's a part of technique and preparation. I'm glad he stresses those things.
Jimmy was born to play drums. always the best

No hay palabras que puedan describir la genialidad de Jimmy, decir que esto fue epico, maravilloso o genial es quedarse corto.
